Just got this game, and I like it. I’m trying to get some casuals in with Worthless Scrub, but I can’t read Japanese and I was wondering if somebody could explain the “grooves” for me. Tried looking for info on this game, but I can’t seem to find any. I haven’t even chose a concrete character to start learning yet, but I gotta learn the game mechanics first.

Guardcrush has the current tiers all listed out for you but for what I know for now S Class is Mina, Iroha, Amakusa, Shizumaru and Kazuki.
A Class is the Majority of the crew so yes Mizuki,Gaoh, Zankuro, Hanzo, Galford, Cham Cham, Sogetsu, Yumeji, Ukyo,Haohmaru,Rera and more etc are A Class.
Sihon.net has some match vids also GoforBroke.hub has some match vids…check the first page of my Eye of the Ragin Storm thread for some match vids, and a move list for the game is non-existant at this time, what moves do you need I can tell you and also tell you how to access them in the game.
The juggler or the person that keeps dropping in and out of S Class to A and back is Kazuki.

Okay Mina Best character in the game= because she is virtually in the right hands nigh impossible to touch…on top of that she has her Unblockables with the EX and normally that you can do that make her a pain in the ass to fight. Mina does have some bad matchups though…try Mina vs. Amakusa…oh boy I love this matchup…:lovin: Mina has the worst defense in the game and Amakusa with teleports can punish her every attack…I love to eat Minas for breakfast with Amakusa :badboy: :lol:

Iroha- She is meant to be broken. Double Jumps, 2nd best Ten groove AB starter in the game, longest throw in the game, down+d high prioritized move, many many kara cancels, GREAT EX attack, Good projectiles, OTG Unblockable Command Grab Super…many many things she has in her favor. And yes according to storyline SHE IS EVIL!!!
Amakusa- Oh boy my fave of the top. Has 2 stances the one you will see is the Close Amakusa stance in vids a lot, His Teleport is invincible and you can only throw him out of it, Rengoku crosses up and is very hard to stop, Bitchslaps in Close Stance fill up 50% meter and do good damage, has easy 40-50% combos with Supers that do sick good damage, Air 2 air b and C are great in combat and beat many things, Tri Jump B and C are Very good as well.
Shizumaru- Easy damage, Umbrella Float Cancel high level tricks make him very useful, also charge release umbrella tricks are very very good to use as well
You gotta go through all the archives on Goforbroke to search for some of them, some of the direct links are gone so let me search for you for some matches etc.
Kazuki- Easy damage best Ten Groove AB starter in the game. Kazuki is an excellent counter to Amakusa (wins 8-2 apparently)…but Amakusa once again can rip Mina APART. Mina is a good counter for Kazuki because she wont let him in!!!

There for what I know is not english translation to the storyline…I been looking up links to translate the in game text for about a year…and have found nothing…
So far the story goes like this-
It takes place during the Festival period where Bloodshed is not allowed, Yoshitora throws a tourney to finish Gaoh once and for all and take over the Shogunate tradition.

The last Boss is Gaoh…Ma Gaoh…or that is Hell Gaoh…Techincally hes Shin Bison SNK style with the name of his Weapon Destroyer Attack Ankikou War Horse…
In Sam Sho V After beating the first form of Gaoh he would literally transform into Ankikou in the second form…
Ma Gaoh eats Ankikou for breakfast though :lol:
You know technically Gaoh is Nobunuga Oda right?? And you know how Nobunuga Oda had a helper right? (Yumeji in SS) Also you know how the most powerful form of Nobunuga Oda was the HellSpawn Form right?
Well it happens how even if you beat Gaoh in the “Duel” before the Final Battle (Each character fights a different boss that is related to the characters storyline…Shizumaru will fight Zankuro in the “Duel” and most of the characters since SS6 storyline wise takes place directly before Sam Sho 1 will fight Amakusa) with a character like Yoshitora you wll be directly take to Hell wher Hell Gaoh is stepping on Satan and you will fight him in Hell to finish Gaoh once and for all time.

Without even watching the vid I can list most of the combos with Rasetsumaru-
Cr.a/b into DP+D into either running C (66+C) or qcf+AB Super. Also aftet the shoulder or the running C finish with OTG qcf+D move…if they tech it hits if they don’t IT HITS.
Now the problem with this cr.a/cr.b is that its NOT A LOW…meaning I could block it high!!! So Rasetsu lacks lows!
Now after Rasetsus EX super you can also link his qcf+AB Super.
If you’ve ever played Bust Haohmaru in the other games like Sam Sho III or IV you know what to expect here.
Rasetsus Moves are-
Shoulder-DP+D
Tornado-qcf+a/c-After an A tornado you can combo DP+A/C or juggle with many things…
Meter Build Up-qcb+D-Hurts you but builds up your meter…so when you have like 10% health use it because it will cost you NO HEALTH!!!
OTG Slash-qcf+D best use to chip or hit as an OTG.
EX- qcf+BC (Throw buttons or the macro’ed throw button)
Counter-DP+a/c=if opponent hits you they get DP’ed.

I am going 2 try and throw a SST Final Round X tourney in March 2007 on the side with NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and King of Fighters XI.

I was that kid with the curly hair with the melty blood crew and also i really hope this game could get popular because i see great potential in this game groove systems and the characters… its too good.
