Hmmm…depends on what your style of play is…I’d recommend Tenka to start if you’ve never played a KOF game before…SST is more old school based…
KOF is more fast paced Hop frenzy and you’ve got that much more to learn…

Thanks for the suggestion. Does the whole ’ a lot more learning to do’ make kof a better game or just that you have to learn that much to play the game?
I wouldnt say KOF is a better game…they each appeal to different styles of play…which one is more people playing? KOFXI…but I don’t think that makes it a better game than Tenka…nope…
I love all the big three
The big three? NGBC?
Xi, SST, NGBC, all SNK’s new big three fighters…even love NEOWAVE…still play it and love it…and post vids of casuals in these threads.
NGBC=NEOGEO BATTLE COLISEUM.
Thanks DG, guess I’ll be picking tenka sometime soon.
i really hope some people come to NEC. and play this damn game so we can play and post matches.
I am doing my best to budget for it for December…I may need a place to crash b4 I head back out though…you game for that?
Even the worst of games can be seemingly complex. Never let the “depth” of a game determine its playability. Luckily KOF is both complex and solid. On the other end of the spectrum you have games like Tenka. Tenka is a relatively simple game. However, it’s still very much a decent game. Another thing you have to consider the systems usually don’t determine how complex a game is. Developers can create tag systems, quick-shifts, and other weird stuff, but it’s still usually up to the players to determine how complex a game can become outside of the initial system. Be a progressive gamer and you’ll answer that question for yourself.
Also, no matter how complex a game… Fundamentals always reign supreme. So never fear combo vids or shit like that.
hit me up on aim and we’ll talk about it
Thanks E, that all makes sense.
Keep holding on guys…I messed around this past Friday with Cham Cham also…
the beauty of these vids coming out later in the week is we can focus on doing what we do on Fridays and playing…because then the vids will last up for a little while…
Bump…till the vids come…apparently UHK has been swarmed because just recently the NGBC vids went live…Even though we are recording tonight I will ask him to post up the last vids also…That will buy him some more time…
Alright alright, heres 6 videos.
Apparently everyone talks to Geese about the vids.
Just file requests with Geese, don’t bother him about posting them, he has no control over that.
6 Rounds, no idea who is where and what is why, just look for the person always winning, thats Geese.
Must see the bubble round and the Chample match!!! Those were so badass…
forgot about those, ill get them up in a few hours after lab
I think I am on the right all the time…if I can recall but I have yet to watch them yet…
Thanks a lot you both for the matches! Specially gen-an one…Keep them coming if possible! I just love this game…
So gen-an lost his “scorpion” move ? It was turned into just a normal far hit special right ?
He’s got his spear…I just didnt do it in the match…
But next time I will do it so you can use it to your liking…
Wait a minute…Recruta I did use the spear about 5-6 times in Round 6.i…lol. It just doesnt bring them back like it used to…
Funny thing is if they block it it does have come recoil and bring them back…
This Friday I will play with other characters as well…Just to keep it varied…
This Friday I will play with: Gaoh, Amakusa, Zankuro, Mizuki, more Ukyo, Sogetsu, Kazuki, Cham Cham, Kyoshiro, Enja, Nicotine,
And more…
