You can see pictures of Paku-Paku, Kuroko, Poppy, Shikuru, Mamahaha, Purple Nakoruru and Rasetsu Galford (from the port) here:

Tenka has some nice backgrounds.
The soundtrack and (re-recorded) voice acting is even better.
More pictures (including Gaira with hair, Champuru and more pics of every other extra character):

Check out Kuroko doing Rugal’s Genocide Cutter:
Champuru rocks. Pretending to shoot an arrow? TOP TIER:
The Rugal Genocide Cutter one definately caught my attention along with Champuru…whats gonna get me is if that little fucker makes the same annoying ass sounds…LOL
Lol… well the story behind this is that until the mid 90’s, Korea went through some serious sensorship phase on imported stuff. All the Japanese names in games/comics/cartoons had to be changed “to better fit the target audiences”, including Gaira’s name, as you see. Basically if it was for home market, the names had to be changed, though arcade was OK. Kim Wungche was Gaira’s name for the Korean console version, which I’m guessing is the neo geo. The game wasn’t even called Samurai Shodown, it was Saulabi or something like that iirc. So this is like Playmore giving something back to Korean players for sticking with the series.
No OST out for Tenka yet? Im really digging the music…
and guys the more match vids I see the more I wonder what is truly the main difference gameplay wise between Yumeji and Ukyo…that have practically the same damn moves be it normals and specials…and they are both top tier bc they both are safe as hell…
So I wonder what is the major difference esp since she lost her SSV morphs (though she has some morphs but not the same not even close)
So the only way to play the game is to get my PS2 moded and import the game?
Or Japanese PS2 when it hits…unless there is somewhere out there some AtomisWave EMU…if not then wait till God knows when when they will release it to the States as a US version…
I mean shit SSV came out in Japan like damn near a year ago…NOW ITS FUCKING HITTING THE US??? HAHAHAHA…
Import my friends…import…OR get a modded XBOX and have what you wish from old school NeoGeo etc…
This suck, I haven’t played a SS since the first and now Im about to mode my PS2 for one.
Well, not that on-topic, but IGN has two new videos of SSV for XBox, for the five people that care (i know i don’t… maybe if it was SSVS and for half-price i would… i’m rather wait for the Tenka port):
Samurai Shodown VI/Tenka THE THREAD (With Ps2 info etc post release)
Yes yes yes…I KNOW there are other SST threads…but thats the thing…they need to be merged into one…
and since the JAP Ps2 release is looming I figure this will give people somewhere (should everything be merged) to come and talk about all the PS2 changes/differences etc bc once it comes out you know either one thread will rise or both…so lets try to keep it here…
And heres the word of wisdom for the day- If this thread is not merged I ENCOURAGE everyone to find the older threads for other pertinent information about hidden characters on PS2 version and other things that are already in the game…but this is should this thread get either locked or the others ARE NOT MERGED…
Whenever my MGS3 Subsistence comes this week with my $5 coupon from Play-asia, I will import SamuTen right then and there.
Yessir its looking damn nice…and its jampacked to hell with goodies…some of course already mentioned in the other thread…
And for those wondering if this game will turn out like SOULCAL3 I dont think so…
Bc judging of Battle COliseum there probably wont be too many broken things in the game cough VC bc of the like 50 loke tests for this game and Battle Coliseum…
and it paid off…BC is a badass game…and Tenka looks to be as well…only time will tell though.
Tenka is hitting the PS2 this month? DAMN! I was just gonna go buy NGBC sometime this week…I better save up my money for Tenka then. >_>
bah… I’m getting a new PS2 this week and modding it. I’m sick of waiting around for SNK/Microsoft to get old games working when the PS2 ports have been around for ages.
Get both…From what I see already they are both HIGH QUALITY GAMES WORTH EVERY PENNY…
IMO for certain NGBC is…
And from all the research and painstaking hours(We are talking Counterstrike/Everquest hours into this and NGBC) I’ve put into Tenka I can see it is as well…
Amen to that Supabeast…they take like fucking 4ever to port a game that has been out in Japan for months nearly a year…THEN THE US GETS TO SEE THE GAME…and threads across SRK on Kaillera spring like wildfire etc.
All right so that as to not discourage looking in to other threads for now in case you are wondering there are 3 new grooves in the Ps2 version NOT in the arcade version, one a create your own groove, and Kuroko, Paku Paku, Champaru, Mamaha, Rasetsu Galford,Purple Nakoruru, EX Mina and some Gaira guy with hair are secret characters added in the game. (You could say Poppy also but he was in V)
Yes funny mostly animals which means no blocking…lol
Most of my research has yielded me very little information in regards to the last boss…
I know he is Ankikou, the demon Shogun that Gaoh transforms to in the second/last match in SSV, and in his super in SSVSP,
but besides the fact that he has those moves not much else is known or said about him and I’ve posted on Samspirits forever and like everywhere, not much is said more about him…
If I run across the pic of him in battle I will post it back up again for you all to see…
The only problem I have here is, I’m gonna shell out for two (potentially very awesome) games that are gonna cost me over 60 bucks each to import, and then I’m gonna have noone to play them with but the CPU.
Damnit, need Online Play!
