one thing i found interesting about rocky balboa is they shot the fight scene first because he wouldnāt have enough time to train during the filming, but they hit each other for real. luckily stallone or tarver didnāt get messed up or the movie would of looked stupid.
also, watching the documentaries on the disk makes me appreciate stallone more. i think heās really underrated as a director/writer. when he talks he knows what heās talking about and seems really talented and his movies all look good visually.
unlike renny harlin who always talks great in his commentaries (die hard 2 commentary is awesome, same with cliffhanger), but for some reason all his movies end up sucking
Agreed, props to Stallone for being consistant. He knows how to provoke the reaction he wants from a casual audience. Heās not as dumb as he looks/sounds.
Just saw Be Kind Rewind the other day, 8.5 outta 10! Really wish you coulda actually seen em āswedeā more movies tho, that shit was great! I dig how the first movie they āswededā was Ghostbusters and Sigourney Weaver shows up later in the movie, lol.

Just saw Dan in Real Life on Blu-ray. Pretty good movie, I liked it. One thing I could not stand though was the main actress. Iām sorry if Iām being shallow, but she was so unattractive, I couldnāt believe that anyone was competing for her affection.

Hulk was positively awful, but with a great cast and some great scenes here and there, specifically the origin story. Stupid shit like the final battle and the Hulk-puppies almost negated the good parts. Still I wouldāve preferred that they made a sequel instead of rebooting.
I also liked the stocky model from the old Hulk, even though the new Hulk face is an improvement. Either way I donāt give a shit about the new movie, Ed Norton and Tim Roth be damned.

I think Stallone is the best actor out of the 90ās action-heroes; Stallone, Van Damme, and Ahnuld. Iāve always found his action movies to be enjoyable, even at 60 years old.
