Also, I read recently that TWBB and No Country were filmed in the same Texas location simultaneously. PT Anderson would have oil fires running while the Coens were trying to film scenes. Just thought that was funny.
someone sent me this promo the other day…

I have got to see that when it comes to DVD.
The missus and I made the unfortunate mistake of watching Brokeback
Mountian and Monster in the same weekend. That was an uncomfortable experience.
got damn…that preview was not even fucking around right there…
im outi
Roberth
jesus…gonna have to check that out…
That’s kind of gay.
damn
what studio will give a 14 million dollar budget to the 10th entry in the friday the 13th series
They also apparently never paid anyone, including Tolkein’s estate, for The Lord of the Rings
Couple movies i watch the past few days
Dynamite Warrior - One of those its so bad if i bought it i would kill someone movie…Movie was laughable with some nice vicious knees & elbows thrown in…3 out 10
No Reservation - Zeta jones is just too beautiful…Movie was ok, if it didn’t have Zeta i probably wouldn’t have enjoyed as much… 6.5 out 10
Valley of Elah -Tommy Lee was quite good in this…I enjoy this a lot more then Crash…8 out 10
Rocket Science - The movie as ok could have been great if they had a Rushmore type ending…6.5 out 10
watched a bunch of movies this weekend ( I got showtime free for 12 months when I signed up for HBO to watch the wire):
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels - not as good as Snatch, feels very dated now after all the copycats. Color pallete was annoying.
The Brave One - Horrid. Takes every good thing about Death Wish and shits on it. This is a pure example of a soulless studio film made by committee. Anyone else think Terrance Howard is way too overexposed?
The Simpsons Movie - I thought this was pretty shitty. A few good lines (comic book guy: …and all I have to say is: LIFE WELL SPENT!) but mostly this was every reason why I stopped watching the show 10 seasons ago or so: no heart, characters turned into cartoonish versions of themselves, and a plot that is nothing more than a bunch of random jokes strewn together. Basically the simpsons turned into Family Guy. You could tell the first 20 minutes of the movie were made long before they even had a script.
Trainspotting - man do I love me some kelly macdonald. How old was she when she made this?
The Beach Girls - this was a great early 80s beach flick. Tons of attractive topless girls, some good cheesy humor, great scenery, fun soundtrack
Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key - this was a pretty good 80s giallo that started out with a great hippie orgy but then got a little muddled. Must breakt he record for insert shots of a black cat. Some fine women, a really tame lesbian scene, some good stairs moments, deaths were alright not great.
Rented Breach, will probably watch it later today. Hopefully it’s good…
i liked breach a lot
pretty underrated IMO
i watched 8 or 9 episodes of tremors the tv series over the weekend
i love the tremors series, but this is pretty lame. it’s just random sci fi type events taking place in perfection valley. in a couple of episodes graboids/shreikers appear elsewhere and they go and kill them.
oh and el blanco eats a vegas mobster who has a key to a vault with 20 million in bonds, so mobsters hit up perfection to kill el blanco and get the key back with that spanish guy from NYPD blue rocking a velore track suit the entire time
i imported Death Sentence [another Death Wish rip off, but its pretty decent] on HD DVD from Germany, plan on watching that soon though
that’s funny, i was so in love with kelly mcdonald after seeing trainspotting the first time. this was like back in 96-97 - i think she’s even better looking now…
my brother was kind enough to finally give me my xmas gift, season 1 of dexter. watched disk one yesterday. amazing fucking writing. i love the show.
Out of pure randomness I went and bought Downfall.
Downfall (Der Untergang) is a german film about the last days of the Hitler regime.
The reason I got it was because I saw a parody clip of the scene when Hitler yelling at his men for some reason…and I thought it was interesting. I’m hoping the rest of the movie is because it’s 155 minutes.
