Downloaded Ultraviolet on the PS3 tonight. I had high hopes when it came out in the theater since I am a fan of Equilibrium. Thought Ultraviolet sucked ass when I saw it.
Year or two later, giving it a second chance. Milla Jovovich is still hot, the movie still sucked major ass. Who wrote the fucking dialogue for this, it’s worse than a messed up speech to the public for the first time.
ultraviolet was one of the worst movies i’ve ever seen. and i don’t mean in that “armageddon is a bad movie because i hate hollywood blockbusters” way, but actually one of the worst films ever. i could never keep up with where that film was trying to go, and the main character was so broken, it wasn’t even entertaining. it’s like neo after the first matrix films…it wasn’t even interesting to watch…

part of it reminds me of those ocean movies where there seems to be an inside joke and you just don’t know about it cause the actors are “improving”
some scenes are pretty funny and the story line is pretty ridiculous, but just didn’t really like it

Martyrs screening was last night in toronto. apparently some woman got up to puke in the first ten minutes…but didnt make it in time and puked all over somebody. then some fans got pictures and showed the director after the screening
i never saw aeon flux, mostly because i was a fan of the liquid tv cartoon and had no intention of seeing a live action version of it…even though charlize is super hot.

really? i just could not get into ultraviolet. me and my girl just kept looking at each other with that “should we keep watching this?” look. ultraviolet and strange wilderness are two of maybe four movies in my life i just wanted to turn off five minutes into them.
while equilibrium is full of horrible plot holes and inconsistancies, i enjoyed it much more than ultraviolet. though a bit misdirected itself, it felt more concise than ultraviolet. ultraviolet just never knew where it was going, like they had ideas for special effects scenes and tried to string them together into a muddled piece.
I guess knowing it was so awful going into it I just sat back and enjoyed it for what it was, versus Equilibrium where everyone was talking about how it was hot shit and I watched it and it sucked.

i hope it comes on sat so my plan to drop acid while watching that movie can come true ASAP otherwise will have to wait until next weekend
