The SRK Movie Fanatic Thread (REVIEWS, QUESTIONS, RANTS, STARS...ETC.) EVERYTHING!

ya man dark city is one of those movies that you gotta watch again to catch things you didnt catch the first time…the movie was just so well directed and the cinematography was on point straight from the opening scene where he was in the bathtub hahaha…too good…

watched All The Boys Love Mandy Lane tonight. Thought it was crap.

I really want to see Martyrs, don’t know how long it will be until I get to see it out here. I watched Last House on the Left a few days ago, never seen it before. I can see why the movie was crazy for its time, still gave me some chills. Just got done watching Inside, that movie just drained me. Once it started it didn’t let up, at all. It was pretty fucking intense, I bit off most of my nails.

Any other good recommendations of similar movies to tide me over?

i’m sure pg has a host of movies for you to explore…

if you haven’t seen it, i suggest audition. oh, also irreversible.

I will look into irreversible, haven’t seen that, I own Audition already. Thanks for the recommendation though. I’ll await Mr. Gorath’s movies then.

:crybaby: :xeye: at the extinguisher scene. That is ONE movie I wish I hadn’t had popcorn in.

I’m far from a bitch, but that shit stuck with me for MONTHS.

Most likely going to see JCVD at the film festival thursday night, I’m pretty excited.

Viggo might get an Oscar this year. He should have won for Eastern Promises as Day Lewis sometimes went way over the top in There Will Be Blood. Lots of deserving people might get nominated this year.

  • Best Actor could be Frank Langella (aka the 3rd best Dracula of all time) or Viggo.
  • Best Supporting Actor will go to Ledger but Downey Jr or Franco could get nominated which would be awesome.

Saw this sleeper called In Bruges, it was recommended by one of the guys from Roger and Ebert. Great movie, took me by surprise as Collin Ferrel was hilarious in it.

Watched The Station Agent at ne0phyte’s behest, and ended up loving it. This, combined with The Visitor, has firmly placed Thomas McCarthy on my radar.

peter dinklage from stationj agent is in this small budget called living in oblivion, with steve buscemi and katherine keener - amazingly funny movie.

Where all the Dynasty Warriors gamers at? What yall think about Red Cliff? Shit apparently cost $80 million to make and I say that was money spent well. Can’t wait for part two to be release.

holy crap, it’sthe voiceover guy! that sux…

Cool, now I don’t have to hear that dude’s voice every time I see a damn movie trailer. Dude had a monopoly on that shit, it’s time he let it go. :bluu:

R.I.P.

I ended up seeing Traitor last night. Was pretty decent, intense theme, and an interesting story but the people behind us seemed to be 20 yrs. old, but the maturity level of someone in middle school. Pissed me off when they’re making stupid comments they assume are witty during the super-srs climax.

has anyone seen “The Fall”? i know the visuals are crazy but what about the story?

irreversible you will like, I own it & must say it’s a bit awkward at first but just watch it & see for yourself
