Harada was informed about about the tekken players death. I just found out he used to be a bouncer at a club I used to go to. We Def talked but I never knew he played tekken

I thought about putting the Gods of 80s cartoons up but I said let me get the ones that not a lot of people knew. There are legit folks who didn’t know Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was a thing. LOL!!!

It may have been mentioned in a previous Lounge Thread but there was a reason most of those cartoons didn’t last long. They got cancelled not for ratings but the sale of the toy line. I pretty much grew up during the 80s and let me tell you, the anxiety you got from going into Toys R Us and KBs and seeing all those fucking toys!!!

George Lucas completely changed the toy game right there in the late 70s early 80s.

Star Wars was my first action figure line I had. 1983 was the very last time I got Star Wars toys. 1984 ushered in G.I. Joe, and to an lesser extent, Transformers. If I could time travel to the early to mid 80s and go into a Toys R Us, I would bust a nut on myself in the G.I. Joe aisle. LMAO!!!

Edit : Came across this…

Good stuff.

I’m kicking myself in the ass for not impulse purchasing the Jayce box set when I saw it back during Christmas 2019. The show seemed so stupid before I fell into watching it, and suddenly alien plant cars made crazy sense.

I do wish Galaxy Rangers were animated and voiced in a manner serving that godlike intro. I picked the first season up about a decade ago, and it was way rougher than I recall; and I’m still salty Bravestarr became the prominent space cowboy series in that era. :stuck_out_tongue:

Toys R Us? Nah man, Children’s Palace!

We had Children’s Palace and Kiddy City in my youth. Toys R Us didn’t open here until about. . . 1986?

I always wondered if the rumor about the animated movie wrapping up the series was true (supposedly the long-lost father of Jayce was killed and he would go on a quest for revenge against Boss Saw)

It won’t be an easy life for her, but respect.

There was a similar case a few years back…

Damn, I forgot all about Children’s Palace. Do anyone remember this…

Three minutes of bully birbs doing what they do best. . .

Being little blue jerks. :triumph:
(They are super aggressive around my area, and chase off the other birds with their dive bombing and gang antics)

I was recently accepted into Delgado Community College for Culinary Arts in the fall, but University Of New Orleans have high standards to reach a masters from Hospitality and Tourism Management. I think the latter would satisfy me more, because there is always options to resolve issues that go beyond the Culinary field. I question if I have the intelligence of problem solving to hold my own in this field.

If UNO doesn’t accept me, then Culinary Arts it is. I won’t lie to myself that I don’t want to be the best I can be in the field and throughout New Orleans. I’m glad to run into some food critics with my dishes lol.

So a Twitter thread just popped up on my tl and no I know liked anything on it and I’m not following it. Now I’m like . Shouldn’t have shown up at all
