Idk if you’re talking about Uber, but in places with heavy government regulations Uber can be just as expensive as a regular taxi, that’s how it is where I live. And that’s after we gave billions in bailout to the cab drivers.

I wish it was cheaper, then it would be a real alternative.

im talking all rideshare in general. What states are you talking about? I personally have always found rideshare cheaper than taxis. I travel around for cons and always found them cheaper. even if they are the same i rather rideshares. i def have more control and feel more safe with a rideshare driver.

i dunno if their are stats on rideshare vs taxis car crashes but at least visually ive seen some of the most nastiest crashes in boston come from the taxi drivers.

I’m not American I reside in Canada , we don’t have many rideshare apps, Uber is the only one I know of. It can be slightly cheaper sometimes, like 1-2 bucks cheaper but it’s still expensive. The government is not making it easy for Uber with their regulations.

no lyft in canada?

Not nationwide, they have it in Toronto and some places. But not here.

I cant go without a car. I dun live in a big city. Closet big city to me is frisco or sacto and I never go to those places. Not having a car really sucks.

As I understand it, washing rice used to be more crucial before modern processing methods. At least that’s what I recall a few of the cooking channels I watch describing.

So it’s more custom / tradition at this point than a necessity since the processing results in an overall more refined product.

I still wash my rice. . . My Indian co-worker would never forgive me.

I mean everyone washes in general. But she washed her rice 3-4x which i found odd.

This would explain about washing rice better than I could, why you should or not.

Reasons why you would

This 12 hour shift bout to feel like 50 hours. So much stuff I gotta do today, and some of it righteously SHOULD have been done by the other 2 crews, but nobody makes them do much so I don’t expect it to change now

Shit, you’re supposed to wash your rice? I never even thought to do that. Beside, boiling it would kill anything on it anyway.

its not limited to just things that can hurt. rice will have starch on them depending on the kinda…the levels may be higher or lower. But in general that will change the texture and taste. So youd wanna wash that off to get the best rice.

That is stupid as hell, Rice is eaten all over the world and no one ethnicity or nationality owns rice.
Hell in India they boil their rice and drain it like you would cook pasta, its the only way to get the texture Indian cooking has for their rice.

Not really, not if you live in the US.

Unless your buying rice in the bulk, in large fabric bags.
If your rice comes in an air tight container or is fortified, don’t bother washing it.

There he goes again with that asian supremacy shit again
