it ends with the badguys seemingly gettin the upper hand and the good guys kinda scratching their heads at what the next step should be exactly. harry finally kinda gets an understanding of the final act/weapon but voldormort is already 5 steps ahead as we see in the final scene of the movie.

Ah, okay. It must be the fifth movie, which is what I thought given the only I’ve watched all the way through was the first one (prequel; ugh) and the fourth one (the first original one), with the latter being within the past year.

I don’t really miss 90s music, old music is old music and it’s not really going anywhere it you want to revisit. What I liked about the 90s was hearing something and thinking, ‘wow, I’ve never heard anything like this before.’ You can trace music or any other popular trends back to an earlier movement decades ago, but rap basically got started in the 70s and house/techno in the 80s, so it was cool to keep up on the cutting edge of something fairly new. The '00s to now is basically diminishing returns on popular music, if there’s anything really new about it at all.

I haven’t kept up with the music scene in 3 years. Even then it was getting bad. I turned on the radio at the beginning of the month and wanted to vomit. Glad I stopped paying attention.

I tend to find decent music online, new or old. Or my fiance turns me on to something that piques my interest, as she has similar tastes. But otherwise, I stick to the artists I know, like, and haven’t been disappointed with their offerings. Only a few of that vestige still exists, sadly.

At the same time, I don’t want to be like my father, who is denial that music is still being made that wasn’t made by 80’s metal bands.

For some reason I’m deeply upset by the notion of paying money for an operating system. It just seems…wrong.

Not that I’d pirate one, but when I finally get around to upgrading my PC, I’m not looking forward to buying Windows 7.

I’ve been trying Jolicloud, which is just Ubuntu with a webapp front end. I know how to operate Unix but I never tried Linux for casual use. It barely uses any resources on my PC, and the fan doesn’t come on at all. But there are compatibility problems with programs that I use, so I went back to Win7. Maybe I’ll dual-boot Jolicloud for web-surfing.

I’ve been phasing in and out of these forums a lot. Mainly because I’ve stopped bumming at my GF’s house every day so I’m instead surfing the netz. Why is Dwight Howard such a beast?
