I must echo the sentiments on Megas XLR. Some folks had already given up on CN by that point…but that was the worst possible time to stop watching the channel, imo. Saturday night Toonami during that era owned the hell out of anything else on tv, easy. I think this was even shortly before they started showing Naruto.

One absolutely crucial episode of Megas is the one about “The R.E.G.I.S., Mark V”. That episode is a classic and hilarious from beginning to end. I still remember R.E.G.I.S. quotes and can imitate that voice (Michael Dorn) perfectly. “THE REGIS MARK V MOCKS YOUR FEEBLE ATTEMPTS AT DESTRUCTION.” One annoying thing is that you can never find any of it on youtube…not even a single clip, because apparently someone involved over there is a bitch, I suppose. Whatever, I had the shit recorded already right off the original broadcast.

“Stand aside, or you will be struck down…die then. You were no match for the superior tactical abilities of the R.E.G.I.S., Mark V” Ohhhh it never gets old to me…20 years later it will still amuse/entertain me.

Lol at smash kids on the front page. It blows my mind that they have yet to figure out that a game can be enjoyed outside of any competitive scene for it. Never met so many people offended because I had fun with a game. We could go on that debate about the wii catering to casual crowds and all that other good stuff but I’m just mostly happy that some of the people that suck at games can have a place to get their feet wet.
