Tried a little of 4 and was just put off by like every character. Didnāt help that the translation was really bad, same with 5, and 6.
Doesnāt help that I really just dislike stands. Too many insanely broken ones and none of the awesome factor of PB and BT fights.
Part 3 has the Dāarby fights so I deal with the stand nonsense for them.
Also didnāt like how Dio had like 900000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Kids, nor was I a fan of him and Pucci being BFFās (Seriously when the fuck did he do this?)
- There are a ton of awesome stands and fights in the later parts, if you liked the Ripple stuff you should give Steel Ball Run a shot. In my opinion itās the best part Araki has done and it goes back to the roots of the series.
As for the other parts, it canāt be denied that their scanlations were pretty subpar in the past but there are a couple groups working on getting each part out in high quality. Part 4 is almost entirely done in HQ , Part 5 just started to get redone in HQ and part 6 doesnāt turn into HQ scans until volume 5 or so. If David Production keeps animating the series you should give the other parts another shot. Iām sure theyād give the series the justice it deserves.
As for Dioās kidsā¦ They show up very, very,very rarely. Gio from part 5 notwithstanding.
From what I remember in 6 like 90 of them popped up.
Part 7 is definitely worth a read. I might even say it is the best of the series.
