God. Fucking. Dammit. Just over a month left in this shit hole.
edit: Goddamn that thing is durable and I have bad lungs. Had to smack it like 6 times, plus about 600 wiffs, with a broom before I realized I had to do the shit in RockB’s conviently placed .gif and pound after I ground.
that you didn’t know a lot of american indians take offense to the indians logo says a lot about you considering it’s been an issue at least as long as you’ve been alive.
And what exactly does it say about me? Im not trying to turn the next few pages into “User vs lounge” like what just happened with Phantom, but if that was the first time I’ve heard about it, the native americans who take offense arent being very loud with their opinion. It hasnt been on the news whenever I watched it. I havent seen it on the internet until that picture. And I havent heard it through word of mouth or in casual conversation in public.
Im just saying you cant blame somebody for not hearing something that was out of earshot. Also read that shit again. I mentioned that I always thought the logo and name of said logo was always a little offputting. I just didnt know if natives actually gave a fuck. I mean that’s been the name and branding of the team since 1915. It took motherfuckers 99 years to turn it into an issue?
i’m just saying i doubt you pay attention to the news in general if you’re from cleveland and hadn’t heard about this, considering i’m not from that area and i knew this was an issue since i was in elementary school. pretty much every indian mascot is considered somewhat controversial, the exception being the seminoles.
although now that i think about it, it might have to do with your age. it was a relatively mainstream issue when the indians met the braves in the world series (like '95?).
i don’t really have an opinion either way, but it always strikes me as strange when people aren’t aware of things.
I thought about that possibility as well, but it seems more like a case of perfect timing. What you should consider is what drew him to the movie role of seducing a 14 year old in the first place, rather than convenience of the events.
I’m pretty certain the 17 year old and her family weren’t “in” on this whole fiasco. Rabid “Francophiles” are already blowing up her social media accounts with hate mail and death threats.
Personally speaking, morality is relative, but my stance is that as an A-list celebrity, he has access to more attractive and willing women than we can ever imagine… So why a random 17 year old on Instagram of all places?
…unless that’s his real preference.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, never change your AV. Everything you post matches it perfectly.
Well I happened in 94. So yeah that was beyond my comprehension. The most notable recording of protesting against the Cleveland Indians logo that I could find, happened in 97 and 98 where protesters were arrested, but nobody was actually convicted of anything so there was no jail time.
Im just saying if it’s a supposed “controversy” nearly a century in the making, and the most you have to show for it is a few people spending the night in jail for burning a few effigies outside of a baseball stadium, you arent really trying that hard in the first place. I dont hear stories of native americans ganging up and protesting at every single home game. That shit doesnt happen. They dont care that much to try hard enough to change it. So nobody else cares either.
