It should be the same as making a Naomi supergun, however the Taito Type X2 has a self-contained PSU, so it makes things slightly easier. Video output is direct HD-15 VGA as well, so you can use a regular commercial VGA converter. It uses the JVS connection system just like the Naomi, so a Naomi I/O converter could be used with the Type X2 (the Capcom one would require a separate PSU, however.) Audio would be just as easy as the rest of it, as simple as getting a 1/8th mini to RCA phono adapter.
I can’t really tell you from firsthand experience, however, this is just based on what I know about the Type X2’s specs.
As for Aksys selling kits without a cabinet, I don’t see why they wouldn’t. I’d contact them ASAP, however, as the first batch of orders are supposed to be closing soon.
I’m sure they will be playabe, because we got to play as them at EVO for a few minutes, and they had the Character Art on the the Character select screen just like the rest of the cast.
Not to mention that the rep told us to highligh the empty spaces on top of the character select boxes.

you are forgeting Raoh in Hnk, Deathbringger in bf and all the particular bosses in sbx, the bosses are always playable in the games of arcsys, and they always are balanced enough to been tournament worthy (of course, they always give them sp tools when the machine is using them anyways)
Well, original GG bosses were broken. Justice big ray of cheese, almost 30 percent blockdamage!! Spammable if under 50% life!! Whole screen pushback!! Have fun :rolleyes:
new revisions of the TaitoX2 dont allow 720p via HD-15 VGA anymore. If youre looking to do VGA output only, 480p, then yes the standard dvi-vga is included. but if you have an HD setup, its DVI only.
Good catch. It seems a bit strange that they would do that, since the Vewlix cabs are by default wired with HD-15… well, as much as having an HD-15 cable hanging down from the monitor would be considered wired. (I’m pretty sure I would have swapped the VGA cable for a DVI connection to the cab regardless of support, however.) It shouldn’t make too much of a difference for HD supergun setups, however, since you’d just be replacing the VGA-Component converter with a DVI-Component converter. Could be a tad bit pricier, however.
man, i just rememberd an infinite that i used with chipp involving only the beta blade, a little hard to do, but really nice to see, from one point of the stage to another, and then in viceversa :lovin:, i miss the days where chipp was a top tier
Anyways, I’ve been watching match videos for this game, and I’m interested. Is there any particular source where EVERYONE gets their matchvideos, like there is for certain games?
