According to some posts I read over on Dustloop forums, Arakune seems to be a contender for top tier at the moment.
Not only because of his runaway game, but because he has an easy time grabbing people due to his teleporting shenanigans, his ground throw gives him crazy special, and said ground throw combos into his death beam attack.
Speaking of grabs, how do you break them? Just tap a button during the green !. ?
And does anyone know if you can button mash out of Jin’s freezing moves?
After watching this, I realize that Carl’s robot uppercut super isn’t as bad as I thought. You can see that for a greater part of the animation, Ragna is unable to move. He’d only have a short amount of time to get out of the way, block or attack Carl before he gets smashed. And I’d assume that even if Carl is attacked, Nirvana will still follow through with her uppercut.
…and holy cow the amount of special that Arakune gains from his grab is INSANE. Three of those would fill the guage completely.
They either need to tone that down or make his ground special do a lot less damage.
I actually like the idea of being able to gain so much special from a throw and then comboing said throw into a special every time…lol. They just need to tone it down.
aksys guys at the DL thread say that there are no 100% definite plans for either console. arc systems is too busy trying to get the game totally complete and ready for testing.
in other words, no one knows where this thing will end up beyond the arcade :looney:
Yeah we’re almost there but not quiet yet folks for arcade release. But believe me when I say, the minute console is mentioned, all of her will be the first to know. Unfortunately, the word is we need this bad boy to get into the arcades already!!!
In terms of balance I would really REALLY love if ASW balanced BB enough so that the worse character is a B tier(best an S). With all the experience ASW has they can do it. There’s no need for characters to suck in BB when they have such a diverse cast and ASW the has experience to pull it off.
SFSU, we’re trying to see if the arcade owners wanna drop it in there. It really depends on the arcade scene there. The owners knew UCLA would do well, he wants to see how well it does first before spreading it. However, if you guys think SFSU or any university will have a good fanbase for it. Let me know
As for the cost of the kit, Hatred Edge, is pretty much on point on it.
Again folks, any leads you guys may have or talk to your arcade operators and hound them saying we got a crew of folks that will drop money to play it. This will help the cause, I promise you that!
BTW Anyone know who the owner is over at Super Arcade and the Japan Arcade in Little Tokyo in LA?
I go to SFSU, and a lot of us play fighters and have tourneys there. I heard all the fighters do pretty well there, Im no expert though but I would love it if it came to SFSU and I know a group other fighting game fans who would too:woot:
