fucking nice. the trailer theme is in gameplay. that aruk guy looks like hes annoying to fight ><. hopefully they will add track select ont he chars menu like in gg.

They had a list of the characters come up on the screen a few times on friday morning. I counted it a few times and got 14, so I’m pretty sure there aren’t anymore than that.

I’m sorry. While I’m feeling this game more than GG, and I want to play it. I can’t help but notice that ranga and jin= sol and ky, the ninja dude looks like baki, the big guy=potemkin. I mean even the moves are bitten from GG. The game looks great and I’m going to play it on a tourney level, but SF4 has more of my attention. I mean even the system so far looks like that of the GG series. At least SF4 gave us a new fighting system. Is there anything new with the system of Blazblue that was not in the GG series?

I haven’t been reading up on the game all I’ve been doing is watching vids.

It’s GG’s version of 3S. They put in a bit of familiarity in there to give you a foundation to work with, and then you go and develop all this other new stuff from there. Nothing wrong with that really.

you are on crack dont you, sf4 doesnt offer anything new, sf4 is sf2 with hideous 3d models and some rejected chars of kof, and the “save system” is nothing special.

bb has the new drive system, and the mechanics are similar but not equal, for example the burst doesnt work in the same way of gg, and you dont have frc either, in bb you have the barrier gauge, so it seem familiar (what it was intended) but not equal, and the characters maybe look similar in gameplay but they have their uniques moves and abilities that make them totally different of the cast of gg

while not sharing your hate for SF4, BB also has that new wakeup game where you can continue to combo off the ground, but the opponent also got “techroll” options that move him somewhere else but leave him open there for a second. so instead of a regular combo you can go for a knockdown and from there its a mixup which way will the opponent tech if at all, which may give you a 2nd combo.

well that’s not new either, seeing as how that’s melty blood’s gameplay mechanic.

Man to say SF4 save system doesn’t offer something new, is like saying blue is red. I’m sorry but the save system is new and allows for alot more in SF than usaual. The saving system allows for all kinds of new combos and strats. The models are fuckin gorgeous. So far in blazblue the characters even look like they fight the same. Arakune plays like zappa. I mean they play like the GG characters. The game looks fun none the less though, but I don’t see anything ground breaking besides the way the game looks. I understand there reason for keeping the game mechanics close to GG, but it still looks like GG, and the characters even look like GG characters fighting.

and in melty blood you can’t really OTG into a real combo… you just get the 2AAAAAAA into regular oki.

But is that new??? I’m asking what is new. The save system completely new…what systems are new to this game that we have not seen? That’s my question. So far I’m curious about this barrier gauge. I take it that’s like a guard gauge?

can we stop the BB vs sf4 and get back to topic. ppl have different opinions bout games so arguing it here its not gona change the game systems ,moves chars, etc… so just get back on topic

well, everyone is free to feel what they want, you feel that bb is not ground breaking, and i feel the same about sf4 so dont argue about that because is a waste of time for both of us

I’m not trying to argue. I wanted to know what is NEW system wise about the game? I said so far to me it looks like GG. What is new system wise about the game?

Tager looks fun as hell.

One thing I noticed from the videos is that when a grab occurs a “!” appears to show the window of how much time you have before you can break it. Checking 1up again a green ! is normal and purple is a strict window while red means you can’t at all.
