Heh, I can’t believe I forgot about that… (I first experienced this in an amusement park in mid-1992). For some reason, Hwa Jai could only do his version of Joe Higashi’s Tiger Kick when inebriated, but on the other hand, it did even more damage.

Other characters who drink during matches include Shun Di (VF), Chin Gentsai (later KOF titles) and Ryofu (World Heroes Perfect).

However, these fighters are merely powered up/receive an extra move or two after drinking, whereas Rock Lee’s fighting style changes to “Drunken Fist”, altering his entire moveset (near as I can tell; I hardly ever play as him) as well as his demeanour.

As for Bang’s Distortion Drive, I was referring to his qcf, hcb+C Shishigami Ninpou - Chou Ougi - Banzai Kassatsu Daifunka, which is shown in at least two different videos.

given how squishy Arakune looks, i’d think he’s more based on No-Face from Spirited Away

You guys really need to learn where the characters originally come from before jumping to conclusions on where so-so character design came from or was stolen from.

As long as they look cool, they’re good.

Taokaka alone makes me want this game, so it can’t be all bad.

Oh yeah, and I’m going to be annoyed every time I see Carl or Nirvana turn around unless they have different left/right sprites for them, which is doubtful.

Fighting game characters should be symmetrical.

Which is ironic because if Soul Eater ever got a fighting game, Death the Kid would be a prime offender.

I just saw the BlazBlue test machine at Evo… The game looks so clean and the background effects are unbelievable. I like Rachel’s stage in the rose field or whatever it is.

Cat-girl is too strong… I laughed at the slash loops she have, the cool sabertooth super, and what looked like a Genei-Jin powerup. Her animations are hilarious, Tager is basically a potemkin clone, the one question I heard over and over again in the crowd was, "Is that a normal throw?:confused:

Rachel was used many times, people experimenting the properties of her lightning rod and wind gusts…

I am going to try it out tomorrow, I think there were talks of a test tourney.

I love that one divebomb jump in with claws fully out super she has.

Hopefully she can be zoned well, or tager’d if played poorly, cause I don’t want this game to be unbalanced.

I’m also hoping for online if it comes to console, but that’s a stretch :lol:
