I agree, I heard it had more entrants than guilty gear.

He does. He’s also going to be in SBO this year. He’s 1 of the 3 Noels that made it into SBO.

Heart also got 3 prefects on a Arakune player.

Good shit tho Mike.

Agreed.

Meh* I really don’t care. Some guys play with male characters and some play with females. Really doesn’t matter. Nothing wrong with being different.

Good shit Heart

It feels like BB is going to be more popular than GG as a whole.

There are more casual players for BB that want to learn the game more and I hear the GG haters prefer BB much better since its a little easier to learn.

Not to mention BB was promoted a lot and has excellent online play compare to GG that tried once to have online play and failed.

I was never really into fighting games before SF4, since there really wasn’t online play that was bearable (that I knew of anyway). I think a lot of people were in the situation that I was in, that fighting games required a “scene” and weren’t really that much fun without one. With online play, a lot of people that couldn’t play before, can, and are trying everything in sight.

A lot of people like me love fighting games, but had shitty friends or no one to play with, so haven’t bothered for years and years. Seems SF4 jumpstarted my interest.

I’d buy GGAC again if they added GGPO or HDR netcoding.

Same here. I like the characters a lot more in that.

lol, that’s what I was thinking. They should port GGAC for XBLA and PSN with the same awesome BB netcode, that’s a money maker :bgrin:

Yeah, it would be nice if they released GGAC as a downloadable game, but they would need better netcoding for a game like GG. FRC frames are too small for anything but GGPO netcoding.

like wise.

someone needs to bring that idea to their attention, cause its a dam good one.

Yeesh, has anyone seen Giant Bomb’s review of BlazBlue?

Uh, he IS playing the same game that we are, right? o_O

He thinks Tager has the most charm lawls.

He didn’t find the characters interesting.

The lolita daughter of Dracula who summons electric frogs, flying pumpkins, and who carries an umbrella which transforms into her pet cat…isn’t…interesting?

What did he want to see? A bunch of bad stereotypes & guys wearing karate suits…ahem SFIV.

“While there’s certainly substance to Arc’s 2D fighter, you have to dig through so many layers of loud music and flashy visuals that the whole experience becomes a bit exhausting.”

Haha, if only it were like a nice olive-drab trip to library! I’m so confused.

(Special thanks to xxSHUMA GORATHxx.)

I have to admit that i think most of the people who look at blazblue wouldn’t be interested in the character designs. I wasn’t either, but they grew on me.

Also the story mode, aside from localization mistakes and subtitles being different here and there from the voice acting, was pretty coherent if you actually read it. I didn’t the first time through because there is a TON of text, but when I sat down and read it at the end of the day, it made sense. You can’t get the gist of the story if you just try to spam through.

I like the character designs in BB more than the designs in GG, personally.

Of course, I couldn’t really get into GG, but I’m absolutely addicted to BB.

I just think the moves are way too similar to be made a new game. Frankly they could’ve just added these characters to a new GG game and nobody would’ve known.

Moves… way too… similar?

Okay, so yes, main character has an SRK.

In GG, TWO of the main characters had an SRK, and most had SRK-esque moves. (Ex-Venom poolballs anyone?)

I love the odd character designs (Mind you, Slayer still sits near and dear to my heart, but Rachel is getting there.)

And more to the point: The moves are very… different. The way that the drive button changed gameplay, even if it’s just one button was very interesting. I mean, technically it’s the same as say… I dunno. Using I-no’s midair spinny attacks as Tao, without pressing a buttload of buttons (Okay, so maybe not a lot, but it makes it easier).

It’s more accessible, it still has it’s charm, it’s a damn deep fighter.

Easy to pickup, hard to master, isn’t that what all games should be?

Look at Tager and Potemkin. The same anti-air grab just different visuals as well as the special grab. Ky-Jin, Ragna-Sol…I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned before. Don’t get me wrong, I like the game but not so much the characters. I still don’t see how they couldn’t have gone with 20+ characters. This is supposed to be next-gen, no?
