Throwing doesn’t seem all that scrubby to me. Based on the lag in a match, you can get away with many things - throws included.

Throws have been very good in this game, and are in no shape or form “scrubby.” Taokaka can backwards throw into her Astral Heat, while Ragna and Jin use throws for combos too. Tager’s the grapple master, and it’s basically how you play with Carl to an extent.

You can call someone a scrub when their D button is broken from mashing it too much, but throws are a different story.

Not to mention one of Tao’s fundamental combos comes off that same back throw

I’m talking about in LAGGY situations. There’s nothing wrong with throwing online or offline, but you mean to tell me that if your playing a match online, with a massive delay, you’d be cool throwing the other guy knowing they wouldn’t be able to tech it?

Hell yes. If it’s a laggy match, I want to end that shit ASAP. Although throwing probably wouldn’t help much because I always drop throw combos in lag anyway. :sad:

And even if you did, proration would completely kill it in the long run (which I suppose isn’t actually a BB specific feature).

I meant things like if you do Almost Becoming Two with Taokaka, you can only get 31 2a’s, with infinite ABT. Even though technically, you are not moving backward and neither is the opponent. It just adds less and less hitstun.

It makes me cry that you can’t use ABT to create unblockable situations… that might end up being overpowered though

It’s too easy to get away with throwing like that online. I’ll admit I’m still scrubby and he caught me off guard with the first two throws but look at all those throw reject misses… Although I certainly got him back afterwards . This is why I rarely throw anymore.

Indeed, my local store has like 5 copies on hand IIRC.
