The SRK Blazblue General Discussion Thread

Nope, it’s definitely Noel, you can tell by the visible beret in the Player 2 portrait area, and her two visible guns in front of her at all times :nunchuck:

Also, I’m hoping this indeed turns out to be PS3 exclusive.
It needs all the exclusives it can get, and Blazblue just looks too serious.

No name niche titles being exclusive = very bad.

There’s two vids featuring Tager dawg.

Maybe I’m dumb like that, but I’m not about to call the possible successor to Guilty Gear a “no name niche title”. It being platform exclusive would be pretty ass though >:|

I call Guilty Gear no name niche in terms of the worldwide market. In fact I’d call most beat em ups niche.

i dont know, but gg is very poular in very countries (maybe not too much in usa), and the 360 its not very popular in japan, but its true, if they make the game an exclusive it could be a economic suicide, maybe the game will be releasen first in ps3 in japan (arcsys seems to be very loyal to sony for some reason)and some time later in 360 and ps3 for the occidental market.

but in my personal opinion. i wont be angry if it turns into an exclusive for the ps3

In terms of gaming in general? I guess I’d agree.

As far as fighters go? I say you’re fucking clueless.

old footage

i got it from here

my bad

That’s not new. That was posted on pg 39. It was/is on youtube.

i know it’s being ported to the ps3 but i really hope for a x360 port as well

Yeah, it’s reseting the damage counter, they should probably fix that… Unless they don’t want to… :looney:

The guy on the ground was in control of his wakeup, his fault if he didn’t avail any of his options and just wanted to keep lying down. The damage in general is pretty high, but “OTG” damage? With the possibly complex wakeup system it should be just like ordinary damage. Also I believe you can OTG basically forever if your opponent doesn’t decide to do anything.

2D Tekken.

Naw, that’s Art Of Fighting 3

Well, Tekken Okizeme is bad ass.

damage scaling is one of the most annoying innovations fighting games ever came up with so i support big damage. i appreciate the necessity of some damage scaling in chain/air combo-based games but the extent they take it to in games like sbx is ridiculous

^^clearly likes dying in one combo

I wouldn’t call damage scaling an ‘innovation’…more like ‘common sense’.

More like “our combos are possibly very long”. Normaly gravity increase should be enough.

maybe they should actually balance their combo systems rather than relying on ridiculously extreme damage scaling to take care of everything, which sbx should prove is a terrible approach

WTF COUM. SBX isn’t every damn FG out there. Shit. Last I checked FGs aren’t all the same. God forbid anyone tries to do anything outside of 4 hit combos…

Damage scalling is good because gasp people actually like combos and players still get their combos while maintaining a balance. Last thing they(dev team) wants is 100% life combos.

Or is it better if people had long combos that did crap damage?
