Holy crap.

It’s like night and day with the patch. The match starts, HUUUUGE LAG during the opening animations. Like slideshow lag during “THE WHEEL IS TURNING” and I swear it had to have gotten worse.

Then the minute she says “Action!” the lag is gone. No lag. The entire match. It’s like the patch found some way to syncronize people in the beginning of the match. My connection is horrible slow, I know it is. I rarely see yellow connections i n SF4 and have never played a green one, not even once.

This little intro sync is impressive. Sure it sucks ya gotta deal with an extra second or two, but this is only on the first match. Once the fight begins, it’s all gone and impressive.

So far I’ve been playing people in Japan and I still get a great connection in the fight itself. This is with over 2 hours of BB I just got done with. I don’t know what they did in that patch. But wow…

Anyone else notice in the leaderboards the cool tier diagram based on online win/loss? It’s a grid you can look at to see the overall picture of matchups vs other characters.

Sure it’s all based on online play and may differ wildly from the arcade, and right now I doubt it’s accurate since not a lot of people are playing, but in a few months it will develop into something pretty interesting. Nice to see a tier board based on data like that. (Right now Jin/Ragna/Noel/Taokaka on top, obviously due to popularity. With V13 and Hakumen on bottom. But we’re talking slight numbers right now due to the immaturity of it. Not to mention I probably brought down V13 alot myself. -_- lol She’s 4.9 on a few matches.)

Yeah, like try doing a normal combo for Nu (after throw) in both notations:

Number notation:

5D, 5D, 6D, 6D, 2D, 2D, j.DD, j.DD, 214+D.

versus

st.D, st.D, fwd. D, fwd. D, dwn. D, dwn. D, jump DD, jump DD, qcb+D.

The first one is ok, why the need to write 5D when you can just write D. I thought neutral position doesn’t need any extra input notations, that way it saves you even more space (since that is the ONLY advantage of the numbers).
