Holy crap.

It’s like night and day with the patch. The match starts, HUUUUGE LAG during the opening animations. Like slideshow lag during “THE WHEEL IS TURNING” and I swear it had to have gotten worse.

Then the minute she says “Action!” the lag is gone. No lag. The entire match. It’s like the patch found some way to syncronize people in the beginning of the match. My connection is horrible slow, I know it is. I rarely see yellow connections i n SF4 and have never played a green one, not even once.

This little intro sync is impressive. Sure it sucks ya gotta deal with an extra second or two, but this is only on the first match. Once the fight begins, it’s all gone and impressive.

So far I’ve been playing people in Japan and I still get a great connection in the fight itself. This is with over 2 hours of BB I just got done with. I don’t know what they did in that patch. But wow…

Anyone else notice in the leaderboards the cool tier diagram based on online win/loss? It’s a grid you can look at to see the overall picture of matchups vs other characters.

Sure it’s all based on online play and may differ wildly from the arcade, and right now I doubt it’s accurate since not a lot of people are playing, but in a few months it will develop into something pretty interesting. Nice to see a tier board based on data like that. (Right now Jin/Ragna/Noel/Taokaka on top, obviously due to popularity. With V13 and Hakumen on bottom. But we’re talking slight numbers right now due to the immaturity of it. Not to mention I probably brought down V13 alot myself. -_- lol She’s 4.9 on a few matches.)

I believe Sony Europe has actively tried to prevent Japanese/Asian imports from being shipped to Europe.

They basically killed LikSang by suing for PSP importing, claiming “our products are not certified safe in the country of destination nor is there any warranty”. Yeah, that’s the best. A Sony product from Japan in Europe is not covered by warranty eventhough they operate there.

Yep. Even tho the intros have the slowdown due to synchronization… I don’t mind, cuz the fighting is fast and fun :0)

Netcode is amazing. Only people online are people from Japan and I have been playing them. I am located in SoCal and and experiencing NO LAG while playing these guys. This is truly very awesome.

Nope, I’m in Utah actually. In Park City. With 1.5mb DSL. In a place I can’t even get cable because the infrastructure here is that old.

Yes, I am VERY happy about Blazblue right now. SF4 is very bad for me, 70% of my games are 3 bars (orange), and 25% are yellow. I saw one green connection once, and when I clicked on it it said “Cannot connect to game”. Piece of shit netcode Capcom I swear.

So for this to be happening is amazing. I really hope it stays that way for the US release. I really couldn’t believe it because that slow intro lag makes you think “Oh wtf this is going to suuuuuck!” and then it’s like “LoL, jk.”

Good to hear that patch update fixed up the netcoding. Wish I had a 360 too, so I could buy two copies of BB.

I had the same problem, it’s not in spam it just never got sent, even after using the contact admin feature to ask them about it.

Nu is so incredible. Never seen a character with long range mixups and amazing inclose threat options before. She’s so adorable. I’d flick her on/off switch anytime.
