I think at this point, the fact that it stands to be something else besides YET ANOTHER GGXX REVISION is something already worthy of praise. The fact that it stands to be something brand new is also :woot:-worthy.
People are gonna whine though. I told my friend about it and he was like, its Sammy and its GG…w/e I don’t care it looks cool and better than SFIV IMO so far lol.

…Man, it’s just BEEN announced for arcades. And we don’t have a clear answer of when it’s supposed to launch (my guess is Fall/Winter 08).
Don’t expect a console port til probably this time next year at the earliest.
Finally, something other than another GG update. I do enjoy AC, but a new fighter from ASW was needed. They have potential for great stuff outside of the GG franchise and its good to know they’ve decided on making something else. Sucks that Battle Fantasia didn’t take off. Maybe they should revise that.

Yes, I hope we get at least JPN region console release. I will be watching this one for a long time.
battle phantasia failed probably because daisuke ishiwatari and the people that closely worked with gg wasn’t involved in the development
…maybe they weren’t prepared to stray from aspect of 2D sprites, (and animating in 3D) which wasn’t what they’re known for anyway.
