I don’t think they will change her that much, though I’m sure she won’t be exactly the same. As far as changes go in gameplay I’d expect a good amount of tweaks on her frame data for her to be more rushdown oriented or maybe even footsie oriented, and some property changes on her special moves (general things like invulnerability, LK Senpusha possibly allowing juggles, etc.), preferrably something like those new moves and some other changes to her moves that she got in Omega SF4 would be awesome.
She isn’t in need for a heavy redesign anyway, she’s already unique as it is to stand out from other characters. Really doubt they’d go full Nash redesign on her.
I always thought it was funny how people got screwed up on the cvs2 version of pretzel motions, which were just charge db. I remember doing jab, jab, sweep, raging storm with geese and people were like “WOW!” heh. I thought pretzels were easier than the db, df etc guile flash kick super motion.
Anyway, we all know Juri is now a charge character and her fuhajin is df, ub to charge a projectile.
I posted this on page 2 of our thread, that’s really the main reason I posted it. It’d make her more accessible on pad. I’m sure there’s some dude that’s gonna chime in and say “Well I’m the Juri master and I play on pad blah blah blah” but it’s just another unfun barrier.
I’m a pad player too and holding buttons have never been a big deal to me… imo losing said buttons while charging is the problem. Although to be fair this can be more or less solved if they give her really good punch buttons, I’d be fine if they kept it the same tbh even though I’d prefer a little change.
Also I think you got the motion wrong, it’s supposed to be qcf+k, qcb+k is Senpusha.
Yeah, qcf+k for fuhajin. But if you played Juri and didn’t have a problem holding 3 buttons sometimes and properly releasing them one at a time I have to question how the hell you were holding a pad =P. Yeah you “can do it” but it’ll be in inferior fashion. If you’re throwing your right thumb over buttons like that and releasing them one at a time you not only can’t release the middle button properly but you can’t even manipulate punches while holding all 3.
Explain to me how you on pad, can hold the lk and hk buttons, with mk not charged, on pad…can play footsies against me using Juri’s punch buttons for an extended period. Also tell me how your right thumb would be positioned to hold the lk and hk (but not mk) buttons while also pressing punches on pad.
You won’t, you’ll let off the buttons pretty fast to fire off the projectiles so you can actually play.
My solution lets you limit the characters buttons in the same way, yet allow you to press other buttons, all upside, no downside. Why do people argue this? All you’re doing is gimping the character. It says “I want Juri to be normal tier on stick and weak on pad. No payoff in exchange, she’ll just be weaker on pad so less people play her” ??? WHY? Please stop arguing this and making her hard to play on pad? It’s just going to make her a failure with no payoff whatsoever.
If you want to add challenge to your life with no payoff, lets have your toothpaste only come out 1/3rd of the time and maybe your sink only turns on half the time. And you have to time it just right to get the toothpaste on your toothbrush.
