It was just an idea I posted a while ago in here, basically you do QCF+K which stores the fireball, then to release it you press MP+MK (V-Skill), now depending on the direction you’re holding (back, neutral or forward) you can choose which version of her projectile you want. The good things about this would be no need to hold buttons and therefore no loss of normals while storing it, choosing which version of the projectile you want from the get go, and it would be reatively easy to build V-Gauge…
I’d be okay if it just stays the same as it was in SF4, but this seems like it would improve the store mechanic overall.
The Vskill fuhajin idea has merit i admit. But i still hope she gets something totally new ,while still able to keep her ability to store fireballs.
I dislike when they made old baseline skills into vskills in SF5. For example,i’m kinda salty Cammy’s vskill is spin knuckle ,wish she got something totally new. I hope Juri wont have same fate.
Yeah, it sounds like an interesting idea. So you would charge the fireballs beforehand. Could work.
I see what you mean, but I am not too bothered by what they did to Cammy. I don’t think spinning knuckle was a very popular move in SFIV. Now it goes through fireballs, and it’s easy to pull off for newcomers.
The best store idea that I saw was keep it a fireball motion but you don’t have to hold the button. Then any subsequent pressing of that button would throw the fuhajin instead of doing a normal. So it still takes away that normal, which I feel is an important tactical decision and one of the more important aspects of fuhajin, but now you don’t have to do finger gymnastics.
Example: Press QCF+MK and you get fuhajin store. Now you can light kick and roundhouse to your heart’s content but the next time you use the MK button the medium fuhajin release happens.
If they go for something unique for her V-Skill, I just pray to god it’s good and can be regularly used in matches outside of very specific situations… as in anything that’s not like R.Mika’s V-Skill and is not an absorb/reflect projectile should be fine.
Wouldn’t that be kinda confusing sometimes though? Imagine you did QCF+MK, then chose not to release after a good amount of time… what’s the guarantee that you won’t forget which button you pressed to store a Fuhajin?
Would that let you grab while you have lk fireball stored? Could you tap it again during block stun to release it under pressure? Finger gymnastics won’t be nearly as big a deal without FADC.

Isn’t the rule for tourneys supposed to be: less than one month = ban? That would make Juri legal for sure, it also may be the reason why we aren’t getting any characters in June since Capcom wanted to cater to the competitive scene more.
My speculation about her V-stuff is that her V-skill will be her teleport counter thing. The only problem with that is it would be like Nash’s trigger, though since you would have to time it like a parry and only use it defensively it could be different enough. For V-trigger im pretty confident it will be the FSE, perhaps simplified a bit to make it easier to use.
Also, May is too long. She needs to come out now…like after i make this post. Please, Capcom?
