I remember when he used Juri against Elena at EVO 2015ā¦ I honestly didnāt know he played Juri until I saw that. Sucks that he lost with her but it was nice to see 2 Juris at EVO (I forget the other guyās name who played Juri from beginning to end, but he was awesome there and made it to top 8 which was great).
I said this in the Alex thread, blondes in particular seem to have bad hair in this game for some reason. Personally, I think itās because they insist on giving them this lime yellow color which looks too bright and in return it exposes how bad hair can look in this game, characters with darker colored hair seem to hide that bad look.
As for face all the females look good, Chun and Cammy in particular look much better than they did in SF4ā¦ I think Juri will be fine in this regard.
I like how Cammy looks in SF5, also she is my second favorite female character after Juri. However i liked her face more in SF4,was a bit more anime like, but i guess thatās my thing.
I also think Juriās face will look good ,i am worried about her hair though. Most hair in SF5 looks terrible.
I find hard to belive that you dont know Ai Ai he is probably the best Juri Ive ever seen. To be honest almost no one plays Juri competitively, a lot of pros like Momochi, Infiltration, Dieminion, Alioune, Gootecks etcā¦ tried her but she have a lot of weakness to be used a very high level. If Juri is good in SFV we will see at least Infiltration and Momochi playing with her.
I really hope she gets better in SFV, I want to see more Juris in tournaments.If she ends up not being good enough like she was in SF4 Im afraid Im gonna main Chun li or Karin, Iām done to be struggling with a weak character :s
Eh black hair doesnāt look too bad imo, Laura and Chun in particular look alrightā¦ itās the blondes seem to have a bigger problem in this this situation.
I knew about Momochi but he played Ken most of the timeā¦ his Juri was quite cool to watch though.
I donāt think Juri was that weak in SF4, she was harder to play and more honest than other characters but still viableā¦ in this game Iām fairly certain she will be good if they keep her good normals from SF4 in this one and tweak her frame data a little bit general, combo wise sheāll be fine too I guess. As of now it doesnāt seem like there are any truly bad characters in the game anyway, so I wouldnāt worry too much.
Momochi mained Juri before Ken, and yeah thats the problem with Juri she is way to honest people in tournaments choose the most cheap characters, if she had her roundhose faster, a good fierce, her ex-senpusha with the push back on block, ex-shikusen safe on block, better back dash, 3 frame LP or LK and maybe faster U2 she could have been good in SF4, all that could be fixed with tweaking some frame date, unfurtunately it never happened.
I feel that in SF4 to beat a cheap character with Juri you must be twice as good, SFV feels more balanced except for Zangief he is weak in my opinion.
Juri wasnāt bad in SFIV.
She was more technical and pretty honest.
People rather sticked to easy Chars, thats why you havenāt seen many cammys in Ultra too.
If you have to use your brain,youāre already at a disadvantage.
That sentence āIf you have to use your brain,youāre already at a disadvantageā is so right, no Cammy use to be cheap as f**k but they nerf her in Ultra and make her more honest that is why she disapair from the scene, still she was very good but not that cheap so almost every tournament player drop her even she is hard to see online nowadays.
I think they are doing a good job in SFV with the balance, and I starting to see really high level on streams. I cant wait to watch EVO2016
So I just watched the evo 2015 SF4 finals. Ah the Juri gameplay was a lovely sight. FSEā¦so godly. Thereās more then one reason why sheās the only character with FSE.
Thats what I mean, Cammy was still incredible good in Ultra, Daigo said till the end she was Top5, but she was harder to use,more honest and it took more skill to use her.
I had no reason to drop her,since I love this char, but some others did and switched to Yun aka AE2012 Cammy of Ultra.
Juri was in the same boat, she was realy realy good, but hard to use. U1 is harder to use than any other Ultra and her fireball is different,but allows a different and cool mindgame.
Together with Decapre,Juri did a good job at keeping me at USFIV until SFV came out.
And now I want both for SFV and Ibuki.
You know I was just thinking, Iād be more concerned about her still being able to combo and do blockstrings after a fuhajin release, than if sheāll still be able to store fireballs. The store mechanic is unique and all but the fact that you can link into any normals after a projectile release and continue your combo is what I cared more about her when it comes to Fuhajin in generalā¦
Though again pretty much everyone has unique projectiles in this game one way or the otherā¦ Juriās Fuhajin would already be unique just by being able to combo into something after the release, so yeah they would have to keep this feature of her projectile at the very least to stand out from other characters, they may not change the store mechanic after all (though Iād still prefer the idea of it being her V-Skill or something).
Yeah thatās what I mean as well. She wasnāt easy to play and thatās why there werenāt many people played her, you had to learn a lot of things play her effectively.
And in this game if you block a DP you wonāt have to worry about FADCs, you will just be able to CC them and link into a full combo chainā¦ just thinking about the possibilities is great.
