It was never implied anywhere they actually met after the first time before SF4. Juri fights for thrill (her torture at the hands of shadaloo probably caused her to crack thus becoming the woman she is today.) Having her parents murdered as well didn’t help either. Plus she lost her eye. She was half blind for years. But she never stopped. The fire and intensity that burned within her for revenge. She wouldn’t stop no matter the cost. No price was too great. Bison and shadaloo must burn, wither and die. That is her mission. And she’ll go through anyone or anything that impedes her progress.
One of the many reasons why I idolize characters like her and herself. They burn with passion, intensity, never resting. Hungry for that lust of revenge. Sure her methods of doing so are…wrong so to speak. But I’ll be damned if I said I didn’t like how she does things. It’s fucking awesome.
I know its asking for a lot. But the things I would do for jump cancelable c.HP anti air. I loved being able to heavily punish someone for jumping with an anti air combo. And this game has that ability if they apply a crush counter. It kept people from jumping around like idiots which gave me a lot more practice on the ground game and my footsies. I hope to get the same opportunity here.
Juri vs Cammy tuere is inly one winner my friend. Juri has been listed as top 15 in character strength.
As for her character being empty, what a load of crap. Her character is overflowing with personality and potential. Being a villan and an anti-villan, unpredictable alliances with other characters, hardest story to predict, did she do anything with S.I.N, her new eye patch is the FSE there or is it gone and why is she spying on Cammy in SFV? A mission, a whim or personal interest.
Her reason to fight is revenge. She doesn’t need friends or family to do that but they may give her a friend in this game. Rashid MIGHT be her friend as kids or somthing but it’s super unlikely.
Juri is an unpredictable, funny, psychopathic wild beast. That’s why I love this character. Plus her design, gameplay and the FSE.
The top15 list is BS, just for the sake that Urien and Ryu are in it.Everytime I see these two high placed I know that this is a bad joke.
So no, I don’t take this serious,maybe Daemos and the Storythread would kiss your butt because of this, but I actually do more research than reading a bounch of non-canon Storys and base “my own canon” around this.
The canon is a complicated web of happenings that are possible ways. It works normaly that the happenings in a game are either canon or not. Take different factors into account and think twice.
Cammy could have met Juri in the tournament and won.
Cammy was at the S.I.N facility, nobody has known the location of the Facility appart from Bison,Seth and Juri.
Cammy and Chun were both at the facility, both had Juri as Rival. It is possible that one of them won the Rival match, get the coordinates and contacted the others.
Other than that,Cammy and Chun would both be capable to win the match.
SFV will tell in the end if it happend or not.
S.I.N is gone anyway. Bison killed Seth and Juri stomped his Engine, Rolento blow the facility up. S.I.N is gone, the technology to maintain her unreliable prototype of a KI booster was blown to pieces with Seth. She weard this eyepatch in the OVA too,as Seth worked on the FSE it’s allmost safe to say that the FSE is gone.
That thing was never reliable anyway, one hit to the head and it could turn off.
Well even if the FSE is gone, her V-Trigger could still be a Chainmode. It would either be much shorter in SFV or she would need a 3bar V-Trigger.
I saw the OVA without FSE the two could close their eyes and beat her.
Do you know that Chun-Li can,even with non-canon background, unleash enough KI in form of a Kikosho to make a footballfield big hole? Juri needs the FSE for this.
Do you know that Cammys speed and agility is only matched by Guy and Ibuki or that she can kick trough 40mm thick steel, has body enhancemeants that lower incoming damage, increase her strengh, that she can read your movemeants by your muscles and plan for every situation the right counter? Juri needs the FSE to take on her speed and strengh.
Cammy defeated the Dolls 12vs1, while beeing younger and weaker.
Juri attacked them one by one(you see that they’re not together in the OVA).
The Dolls can force Bison to retreat,if they attack him as unit.(like they allways do,unless they’re ambushed and seperated from each other)
Cammy defeated Bison at the age of 16,Alpha Bison the strongest Version of him.
Juri needs the FSE to fight them, there is no way around, both are capable to take her down. I’m not downplaying Juris strengh, I just say that Cammy and Chun can take her down.
Possible lines during some of her moves and… taunts? But yeah other than that we pretty much covered everything.
As far as these two things go though I’m pretty sure they will remain intact to the character so there’s not much to cover about that, though what she will say during her Super for example is still up in the air (personally I would like the “softhearted sucker” line from the OVA).
I was imagining her saying that line for the final attack of her animation, should’ve elaborated on that…
I definitely agree her English VA does a pretty good job at saying things with venom and anger, I also like that laugh she does during her cross art in SFxT along with “aw go to hell.”.
In the English sound pack I posted on the previous page, there’s a sound speech she says to Bison in her rival match when she activates her ultra: GO TO HELL! I like how she says it
There’s also “Hahaha… gimme a break”. That maniacal laugh, drunk with power
I don’t know if anyone have noticed, but in SFIV, when Bison does a quick rise, he laughs as if he were a horse. That’s what it sounds to me.
Juri’s English laugh is amazing and it really suits the character. It’s just that the Japanese VA sounded more vicious.
Hopefully Jessica Straus (I think thats her name) read some constructive criticism and voice acts Juri with a tiny bit more viciousness. But the sexy, seducing and teasing way she voiced her was absolutely perfect. Really glad they kept her for Juri’s English voice.
I feel jessica did a good job or representing her vivaciousness. She sounded like someone who is a nutjob. Someone that sounds like she would legit kill you and enjoy it.
I like Jessica, but who I’d like to see doing Juri is Grey Griffin. She has played Azula in avatar, female wizard in diablo 3, mandy in the grim adventures of billy and mandy, and other evil characters. capcom pls!
