The Spider's Lair - Juri

What make me felt in love with Juri was her FSE, she was cool in SFxT but she didnt feel right without FSE,I mean that switch from zooner to rusher was what make her so fun to play imo. I really hope she keep FSE as V-Trigger I can’t see anything else.

I’m having a hard time guessing what her V-Skill will be.

Anybody care to take a guess?

Cammy was pretty good, but Juri x Asuka was the greatest team of all time.

If I had played SFxT I think I would go for Juri/Vega, seems like an interesting team imo.

For her V-Skill, I’d want it to be Fuhajin so that it wouldn’t require us to hold buttons, and also could be cancellable into (like Ken) and linked out of like in SF4. As for what I’d expect, I’m really not sure but I’m betting it’s gonna be an entirely new move, can’t see them making one of her existing moves a V-Skill like they did with Cammy or Karin (yes I know what I said about her Fuhajin being her V-Skill, but that’s more about wanting than expecting).

As long as it’s not an anti-fireball move, and that it’s not hard to use then I think I’m okay with whatever they give her… speculating it can be fun.

imo, there’s like a 99% chance her vskill is gonna be kasatushi (her counter). Outside of a new skill it just makes the most sense in terms of both system and implementation.

Then will function like ryu’s parry probably then. 2-3f startup but with the added bonus of being able to cancel it into normals, v-skill, specials etc etc. That sounds like quite the potent vskill. But…I dunno I have a hard time believing it will be.

Actually is a pretty good idea having Fuhajin as her V-Skill she could have her 3 directions of her fuhajins release.
down=low fuhajin
forward=medium fuhajin
back= high fuhajin

Counter is meant to get out of presion, so kasatushi most likely will be her V-Reversal

It better not be. Having such a powerful tool like for a mere V-reversal? screw that.

In SF4 that move was almost useless, only worth using against projectiles at medium range, I dont see it being helpfull as a special move unless they make it faster in its start up so we could use it between frame traps, still it will make Juri more predictable and she could get punished hard.

You could cancel into normals, specials, supers. Should have seen the SFxT version. WAY better.

Can we agree that everything was better in SFxT?
I even liked Juris winpose more than in IV.

It better not be her V-Reversal lol, not to mention Nash and to an extent Rashid already have a similar V-Reversal to her kasatushi. It’s not the best move ever but it would only be worse if it was a V-Reversal because we’d have spend a V-Gauge bar on it.

Just make it a better move in the game overall, they can probably go crazy and add her Omega FSE EX-Counter during her V-Trigger, now that would be insane.

I thought about it, she would still have to do Jafuten to store them, and while it would be required to do that in order to do her V-Skill, the good things that would come out of it would be not to lose any buttons (most importantly you would still be able to do throws and V-Trigger), would be quite easy to build V-Gauge since it could be cancelled into (could even double or triple the amount of meter gain if you have stored more fireballs and link out of those), and it would not be too hard too use in matches since they are projectiles after all.

Personally I think this is a really good idea for her V-Skill, but I’d like to hear criticism about it as well, does anybody have one?

I know Juri is my main afterall, in SFxT was way better and its animations was cooler as well, unfortunately I dislike SFxT mechanics so I dropped the game in couple of months. Still I prefer Juri in SF4 rather than SFxT due to her FSE.

False. Her hitboxes on most of her normals were weaker T.T

st.mp was godly, as was st.lk, st.lp, cr.hp (even after the nerf), and cr.mk. They worked just fine for me. Only thing I wished for (well actually I wished for alot) was st.hp has a quicker startup.

The were still comparitively worse hitboxes regardless of how well they worked for you :stuck_out_tongue:

You think so? Then again…I didn’t understand FG terminology and all that jazz till just before SFxT. So I didn’t have a huge time with Juri in SF4.

I know so. The only exception was her old sf4 st.lp as it didn’t hit crouchers until ultra.

st.mp, j.mp, cr.hp, cr.mp, cr.mk, st.mk and st.hk all had -far- better hitboxes in sf4 (not to be confused with better frame data… though some of them had that too). Don’t even get me started on her projectiles…

SFxT Juri had vastly superior options to lead into a full combo, though this was largely because of being in a different game.
