so i just had an idea about unblockables that was pretty awesome…So if you jump and block, you should be able to avoid most high-low unblockables versus left-right unblockables. Anyone had success with this?..in general?
there is no high/low mixup if you’re in the air blocking, that would be crazy.
Jumping is the best way to avoid unblockables, yeah haha. Also I don’t think theirs left right unblockables.
That’s what i mean, about jumping in the air and blocking.
Left/right unblockables should be possible, e.g. Dorammu stalking flare, teleport and hit at the same time in the air, i mean it’d take some work and incredible timing, but it sounds about right.

Chicken blocking will avoid unblockables but there’s a few frames of vulnerability when leaving the ground. If you come into the stage holding up/back to avoid an unblockable for example and they low you when you hit the ground you’re going to eat damage. Also if your character has poor air mobility you’re susceptible to eating an unblockable when you land anyway.
Also air throws.

Jumping has startup frames where you’re vulnerable to getting hit, so by no means is it sure fire.
left/right unblockable’s arent possible. just block the player and not the assist.
