I think I might stop by Monsters for the first time this year but I want to make it a two in one trip. Willing to take people from the SW/Sugar Land area if you’re willing to stop by the Willowbrook mall and wait for me while I check out Metropark’s last few days of sales. Still gotta pay for some of the gas from the SW to the Monsters area though. Plus if they are still doing the $20 for two people dealy let me know.
Edit - Nevermind I just checked that the Willowbrook mall location just closed today. That’s too bad, they had some really good shirts I liked at Memorial City mall but the Galleria location still has jacked up prices that aren’t completely marked down. Still might go to Monsters though so let me know.

First of all, I am not some random scrub and to be honest I have no clue who you are either… However I do know this. Seeing that you are a houston player you are free when someone has phoenix on thier squad. And I’m putting this out there because it boils my blood when I see my fellow houston players lose a tournament in our own home! WTF stop being so free. So instead of sitting complaining about a top tier ass character we should explore ways to beat it. The easiest way is pretty simple… just block in the corner. And as far as Phoenix being the most broken shit you have see in a fighting game it’s not.

yeah, let me put myself in the corner and subject myself to stupid fast mix up that is much harder to pushblock (12 frame ground command overhead after XF3 45% speed boost, trijump mix up, and she can combo off ground or airthrow much easier in corner… lol)
staying in the corner against phoenix is a shitty netplay tactic that only works against phoenixes that just rely on their teleport for mix up, when she has magneto level high/low/throw game that no one on netplay uses.

So im just curious, why does this forum spend most of its post bickering back and forth rather than organizing events and get togethers?? I mean if you guys want to get like Cali or NY status, then need to figure out how to make some money doing what you love. Also attracting more media coverage and sponsors is how you can get the community to blow up like our west coast and east coast counter parts. All I read on here are A) someone talking about PZ, like they think they know whats really going on. Or B) someone calling someone a scrub or a n00b just cus they never seen them before or C) Someone crying and complaining about how they got screwed at some tourney.

But as of now you sound like someone who is gonna lose to phoenix forever cause your just looking at what she can do to you instead of what you can do to her. There are characters that can fuck up phoenix even when she goes dark. Akuma comes to mind. Dante has alot of tools to fight her too. And NO she DOES NOT have mag level high/low/throw game cause mag is like 2 times faster than her, only when she has XF but everyone has sick XF stuff. Take a chill pill and get over yourself please, your only holding yourself back from getting better. Learn the match up plz.
Wait, are you talking about normal Phoenix or Dark? Because as far as I can see, DP’s high/low/throw game is just as fast as Mag’s (if not faster). Meh I dunno, I’ll leave it to the good people to figure out and go back to my corner. >_>;
Hey guys it’s been a while since I been on here. Just gonna cut to the chase. I’m in the market for opening a Computer repair shop that has enough room to setup a) a few old school arcades (mvc2, cvs2, and whatever else I can get) and b) a few TVs (4-8 to start) with a few ps3 and 360 consoles with arcade stick setups. I’m looking between pearland and hobby area. The concept will be a daily fee of no more than $10 and looking like closer to $5 a day with everything on free play. I will have xbox live and PSN accounts setup to game online when slow using comcast business class. I’m looking for some input if you guys would come out and play and what area would be best. Kinda like the old stargate was before it died but geared for fighters only.
