She’s in the game and people are going to exploit her to whatever her fullest is, this isnt the FIRST TIME anyone in any game has picked a stupid character and blown people up with them. Stop acting like you or anyone around you doesn’t pick top tier, she just so happens to be a high maintenance top tier with a lot of risk involved by simply putting her on your squad in that game. LEARN how to fight it or simply just drop your stick at the sight of Jean Grey on the VS screen…or hell here’s an idea PLAY PHOENIX!!
Here’s more food for thought guys, Phoenix hasn’t won much of anything outside of the south and its quite clear the other coasts are figuring out how to beat her while we consistently lose to her and make assertions on how dumb she is without even discussing a breakdown on how to beat her. Yes the general idea is to snap her in but that’s universal, what can your team do to beat that? What can you change up about your game to stop her from getting to Dark Phoenix? I mean c’mon yall. And I don’t wanna hear nothing about me not playing the game, that’s got nothing to do with it however I WILL say I’m picking it back up for a while…and I’m playing Phoenix just saying.
I’ve heard lots of complaints about this character and how people who play her have no skill, well if its that easy do it yourselves or chill on the mess.

There’s the top tier, and then there’s Phoenix. There isn’t any other character that can just teleport and mash jab like a toddler and win matches.
So why aren’t YOU mashing jab like a toddler for that win too if its that easy? Ok you’re right…there’s Phoenix and then Dark Phoenix I forgot its 2 different characters so every team has essentially 4 chars if you have her on squad.
And even after all that was said this still came up.
So what are valid strategies to beat Phoenix? I’ve seen Dormammu’s setup where he throws two suns out and kills her with one, and the other kills dark pheonix. She can beat it by teleporting and hitting him, but what other strategies are there? to kill her out right i mean, and not having to deal with her from neutral?
I wouldn’t mind learning the secret to beating Phoenix also. (Besides having to use her too, I feel dirty using her) >_>;
The biggest problem with phoenix is also a problem with xfactor, mostly. Regardless, she is super scrubby and skill-less and anyone can win with her. (yun anyone?)

SLOW AS SHIT HOMING FIREBALLS (she can throw 2 before the first one even gets to you then free teleport pressure)
You literally can’t see shit when she’s dark phoenix (especially when healing field is up)
I STILL think she’s the best character in dark phoenix mode even without xfactor, her keep away and chip game is just too good.
If dark phoenix is on the screen, that person should not under any circumstances lose unless they got hit by a random ass super or they fucked up. That’s how good the character is, you can’t beat her, you only hope that she beats herself. I’m of course talking about good phoenix players and not myself going in mashing every time without thinking.
The only good anti-phoenix strategies are chip killing her on the way in, using dante’s pillar move every time she air fireballs, or using ammys slow super and running. There are a couple good things such as hsien-ko’s armored super, but that assist will die in about 4 hits to dark phoenix. Also** NEVER** touch the ground vs phoenix. You + ground = death
