Yeah I will be down to play MK9, I am still gonna play mvc3 and AE when it comes though. Also, to the idea of playing against only the best players, with a small group you cannot legitimately practice all the necessary match ups against 5 players. Weekly tournaments provide you with understanding how to get pass the “scrub” tactics as well as succeed against “standard play” if you can make it to the finals. What would be the point if you are a decent player against the top players, but you can’t get out of the qualifying pools at evo? The practice all around is useful for all the players involved in a tournament setting.

I don’t think all the announcements have been made yet. Planet Zero tends to favor getting spots for games like Blazblue and the more oddball stuff, the announcements on the front page are for ST and AE.
Still, it’s just conjecture but I guess we’ll see soon if they pull out a qualifier.

PZ always gets a spot but they never announce it. Reason being is because they want to keep their SBO quals inside their arcade group. Even if you win the spot you’re not guaranteed to go (according to PZ rules).

Will I mean you no disrespect but I honestly dont remember you around for most of the shit pz did back in the day. Shit was just fucked up. I dont remember you there in the meetings when alot of the fucked up shit happened so you only know from hearsay. The reason alot of ppl have a problem with pz is not cause of the first incident that they may have done but from the second and third incident. You will find that alot of ppl will forgive someone for making one mistake but when it becomes a habit thats when ppl have a problem with it.
Also I’m pretty sure they aren’t planning for any SBO spots this year. Usually in the previous years PZ John would be talking about it to everyone there and the word would spread, but I haven’t heard anything at all from anyone so I’m sure there isn’t anything in the pipeline this year.
