Great episode, but too much Kansas. :frowning:

Is that K-Per in your av?

pretty good episode not near the epic of the new trilogy

Catch the dragon.

Guitar Hero ep was great. lmao @ Heroine / Rehab Hero.

Season 11 2nd run really sucks imo.

It’s all pop culture parody garbage besides imaginationland (which was just boring). It’s like they take the making fun of family guy episode as their new forumla. Find a movie/tv show/videogame and call it gay. Where did episodes like “Fat Camp”, “Cartmanland” and “Scott Tenorman Must Die” go?

I laughed once at the Guitar Hero one… at the very end.

The second half of season 11 hasn’t been off to a great start for me, but the Guitar Hero episode got me cracking up at times.

Guitar Hero Parody had me rollin’.

Too good. Especially that no chin mofugger who co-oped later on in the episode. Funny shit. “Acoustic.”

GH episode was awesome. I lol’ed at the kid playing GH acoustic, then the guy going “oh I love this song”.

Episode was great. Best part of the show was when they were at the coke and sex party. If you aren’t Colorado, you prolly didn’t get the jokes but it was fucking brilliant.

Seriously, when my roommates and I were watching that we said the exact same thing. Jake Jabs with the tiger had me rolling.

Oh MY GOD.

Finally a return to form.

Spoiler Alert: WC people shouldn’t read past here.

This episode kicked so much ass. I was so happy when Stan puked in Wendy’s face, and Kenny got shot… it’s almost as though they’re letting the fans know that og-style episodes (not lame parodies) are coming back.

I haven’t laughed that hard since “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson”.

:ub: I agree tonight’s episode was great. sparkle

I was actually shocked at Kenny’s demise, the unexpectedness of it had me rolling.

I thought it was too funny when Rebecca yelled at Wendy, and then Stan said, “I guess that didn’t sparkle with her.”

I liked it when Butters was kicking Nelly “in the balls”. Then Cartman was aborting the mission

Operation: Can’t possibly fail

Plan - Kick Nelly in the balls

Butters - “mA…Maybe girls have their balls on the inside”

It’s disappointing that a return of stupid gimmicks is considered a good thing. After seeing Kenny die for the third time, were you really still laughing? That shit is tired and I hope it was a one time thing for the sake of nostalgia. South Park is gdlk when it makes episodes that cleverly poke fun at pop culture and world affairs. I liked the episode, but I really hope South Park doesn’t revert back to a bunch of stupid gimmicks.

Stupid gimmicks? Are you serious?

The whole “cultural topic episode” took away from the interesting character interactions, and is/was much more formulaic than any of the old episodes. Here is southpark for the last 4 seasons: Kyle bitches about something, Cartman goes against him, Kyle learns something… it’s getting tired. I mean, they even made fun of themselves for doing that in “Cancelled” and in Cartoon Wars. Those episodes are OK at times, but can you really say that the last 2 seasons have been good?

But even worse than the overflow of “current events” eps are the flood of shitty shitty shitty parodies that have been coming out recently. A MIllion Little Fibers, The Snuke, Tsst, Make Love Not Warcraft, about half the shit from season 10 was complete garbage. Not funny.

I mean, South Park has always had a message, atleast since season 3. That’s not at all what I’m going against, just the trend of all the episodes either being some lame “kyle learns something today” episode or a fucking retarded parody. It used to be we could have great nonsensical, character driven eps like “Cartmanland” right next to eps like “It Hits the Fan”, a legitimately funny social episode. (that was called “Season 5” by the way)

Yeah, there have been some pretty bad episodes (A Million Little Fibers and the lice in particular), but seeing Kenny die or Stan throw up on Wendy doesn’t really get me excited, but I will say the last 2 seasons have had some of my favorite episodes. I guess the parodies are either real big hits or real big misses, to me at least. This current season has been so-so. I just wasn’t so excited about those throwbacks to old episodes.
