The South Park Thread

That was the best part of the ep for me, but everything else felt lackluster compared to prior episodes. Still, overall this was one of the most engaging seasons in years.

“…these things are great!”

The gun thing was great but how they wrapped it all up was super disappointing.

just started watching that episode.

“How are we all going to get guns?”

“Ok we got guns. I feel safer already”

Such a great season, recurring gags and a overall storyline really was a nice change of pace.

Also best thing is PC Principal is sticking around, I was worried for a bit but my boy is staying. So hype.

You mean it was CLASSI

Jesus this whole sitting during the anthem thing became an issue like, two weeks ago, and they already had an episode involving it ready?

You must be new to south park. Lol

I’m not new to it but I can’t remember the last time they were this quick with references to very recent events.

Obama winning the election. Animation cycle is only a week anyway

South Park covers latest fads on a weekly basis because they create new materials on the week they air.

The way they make episodes allows them to cover issues way faster than others do.

They were consistent with the weekly production schedule until the goth kids 3 episode being delayed due to a power outage at the studio. They started being a little more leinant with the schedule after that.

WTF? That song wasn’t in the episode. Was that just a promotion?

Guess it’s just me then because I either never noticed / don’t remember their quickness. I mean their recent season openers were pretty in line with current events, yet I don’t remember them being as fast as this one was. Threw me for a loop.

It’s not so amazing that they are quick because their animation budget is tiny, them staying relevant and consistently funny throughout the years is what amazes me.

They have been like that on every season, just in the last one they made Randy into Lorne because some idiot didnt get the original joke.
