God is dead my friend.

I just think people are sick of his mouth. He tries to play himself off as a great musician, all the mean while running his mouth about shit he shouldn’t be talking about.

I’m not a believer, so I had have to agree.

In terms of Kanye West, he can back most of his claims imo. He is a great musician and has the track record to prove it. Who’s to say what he should and shouldn’t be talking about?

And what is this ‘track record’ you speak of? I hope it is not album sales, because you know people like the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears have sold more records than this ‘godlike’ Kanye…

Yes, I am bringing an objective classification to music. The same objective classification you use on Kanye West’ ego in the first place.

and yes, I am talking about album sales. What other way is there to judge his impact/influence on the music industry? Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys sold more records, that’s true. Somebody had to like these artist for them to sell, are you saying they didn’t have an impact?

Fishsticks was yet another step backwards in Season 13. It had its moments, then it just failed at the end. The Coon (which may end up being a top 10 SP ep) is the only glimmering light shed so far.

I found the other Kanye stuff from before alright, but it just reminded me of the horrible ending of The Ring (the Mickey shit)… alright Park ep and then… just a stupid, uninspired ending.

sp is not a movie. endings are almost always random and stupid. thats what makes sp what it is. you simply dont know what to expect.

Yeah, I’ve been watching South Park since the pilot airing when I was 12, so yeah, I know exactly what to expect from the usual South Park’s endings: One of the characters say “I learned something today…” and then a joke follows. I thought the ending fucking sucked and don’t believe every single second of South Park is golden… do you really have a problem with that?

Aside from Margaritaville, I think this has been the best South Park season in ages. Its more similar to the shows early-mid seasons when it was in its stride than the later ones that are more mixed with alright episodes and poor ones.

The Jewbots, Carlos Mencia and finale had me rolling.

Kanye says ‘South Park’ put him in check

NEW YORK “South Park” may have accomplished the impossible getting Kanye West to check his ego. The Comedy Central show skewered the famously self-important rapper on its show Wednesday night, painting him as a narcissistic figure so out of touch with reality he couldn’t even take a (very politically incorrect) joke.

West’s love of himself and his work has been almost as integral to his image as his music: Just last year, he told The Associated Press that he was the “voice of this generation.” Also recently, he was quoted as saying his greatest regret was not being able to see himself perform live.

Yet, on his blog Thursday, West appeared chastened, and ready to turn over a new leaf.

In typical all-caps mode, he wrote: “SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER.”

West said that he started stroking his ego long ago to build up his self esteem but he now realizes he needs to “GET PAST MYSELF.”

In the self-reflective post, he said that people won’t take him seriously if he keeps it up (perhaps referring to his well-documented meltdowns at awards shows when he didn’t win what he expected).

“I JUST WANT TO BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM,” he said.

And perhaps to show that he’s really serious about making that change, he provided a link to one of the most biting moments from the “South Park” show, and thanked the writers as well.
