I heard about the game and my first thought is âWHY!?â but upon actually looking at the footage game actually looks more traditional at first glance. Going to take a guilty until proven innocent approach to this though.
Iâm doing the same. But I feel if this really does end up as a decent tradtional Sonic, I wonder why they just didnât make it not within the Boom franchise.
They should be aware of how niggas will write off anything Sonic Boom, but Iâm guessing the are keeping faith due to the show doing decent

Sonic Boom comic was entertaining but Iâm not terribly saddened that itâs gone. Apparently the show being a success wasnât enough to keep the comic going.

Any sane developer/publisher would do their very best to as quickly as possible distance themselves from that name,
or better yet kill the âboomâ and move on making new concepts for new Sonic games. Not that i have much faith in Sega at all
and not that i expect them to be able to put out anymore good games in the sonic series , but yeahâŚ
I kinda lost any faith i had in Sega about 10 years ago. All i think that they are good for nowadays is Yakuza , and that is
if they donât decide to somehow shut that shit down too.
The thing is SEGA usually does fine outside of Yakuza too. Itâs litearlly Sonic games that are some fuckery. Generations, Colors, and Lost World shows they can still make a decent game with Sonic in it. But itâs just like wtf.
Itâs not like Capcom where they are just doing bad shit with damn near all their key franchises. Itâs literally just Sonic. Itâs almost they are aware of how heâs memeâd and etc so they just put out bullshit to keep up with it lol.
Shit alot of people say SA2 was the last good one, but you got the Advance games and Rush series showing they are perfectly capable man.
Like idk whatâs going on. You see Mario is obviously doing wayyy more than platformers, but when he does get a platfomer rather 2d or 3d it still feels like a Mario.
And mario is different where he can be in all these genres and even have shit with gimmicks. But I feel a Sonic game need so still be speed focused, and gimmick free unless itâs something speed-based that actually improves gameplay like boosting but maybe not as ridiculous lol.
But yeah idk wtf is going up there regarding Sonic. Even though the Boom games werenât developed my Sonic Team but that doesnât mean that SEGA and even Sonic Team themselves should let that shit slide since thatâs their property and theyâll take the heat for it, not Big Red Button or Sanzaru
Again, Boom is a cartoon series. Sega is not gonna distance themselves from it since the cartoon is a success. As long the cartoon and itâs toys continue to do well itâs not going to go away.
Iâm fine with Boom being around for the kids that enjoy it, its how we all got into gaming anyways. But I donât like them getting terrible games out of it and feeling cheated.
Now just let Team Sonic work on a new Sonic project that isnât a rush job and make something memorable again. Not like they are doing the Boom games anyways.
Iâve seen how buggy Sonic Boom Wii U is and how the sonic cycle ruins lives, that being said new Sonic Boom 3DS look pretty damn awesome hope it doesnât suck, I am cautiously optimistic.

Sonic 2 HDâs development restarted back upâŚIâm only just finding this out a couple days ago but the project started back up as far back as July of last year.
Some of the work theyâve done so far has been quite impressive especially the added life to some of the animations.
Sonic and Megaman crossover has been fun so farâŚof course The Practice (name of the Wily Robotnik tag team in VGCW) were eventually going to turn on everyone. Ryu and Ken have been putting work into everyone they come across and kinda outshining everyone else where I am in the comic imo.
Also new Sonic Boom episodes have been getting aired and quite a few of them have been entertaining.
