Since the world pretty much just got rebooted I doubt they’ll rereboot it right away, but I can expect them to do some alternate reality type thing with the new designs for a story.

Can’t believe I missed this. Having wraps on your shoes is actually common for Football players. Some players spat their cleats for better ankle support and stability (Just as often they do it for the style). With the amount of running Sonic does having the support must be nice.
Character designs look pretty bad. Sonic’s legs are even longer than before, random scarf and bandages look off too. Knuckles also looks pretty bad. His upper body is enormous but his legs are still super skinny. How do his legs support his body. Tails looks fine, and Amy shouldn’t be there (probably the most annoying Sonic character along with Big the Cat). I don’t understand why they’re treasure hunters or explorers or whatever. Why is there random dubstep? How can everyone run as fast as Sonic? If everyone is just as fast as him, then why is he there?
The name is good though.
Fast runners tend to have longer legs. If that doesn’t do it for you: he’s a hedgehog-man.
I found new respect for Amy after realizing that, annoying “I wub you Sonikku” tendencies aside, she’s actually pretty cool. Outspoken female character with strengths and weaknesses who needs validation. At least in the current game canon; not sure what Sonic Boom will do.
Tails and Knuckles have been able to keep up with Sonic since their introduction, and Amy didn’t take too long to reach those levels. That’s why Sonic tends to have abilities and advantages that make his gameplay more focused on speed than exploration, like the insta-shield to quickly dispatch troublesome enemies, the shield powers in Sonic 3 that each boost movement in some way, homing attack, air dash, etc.
I think tails looks really good. Sonic isn’t bad, would have preferred a longer scarf end because that would have been a nice detail to show when he runs but would probably get caught on something and kill him.
Amy looks fine but knux is off. I think he looks like he only does bench presses and doesn’t work out the back at all. Like they halfway embraced making him a bruiser but didn’t embrace it all the way.
I think the execution of his gloves/wraps could have been done better as well.
I think we’re all missing the fact that Knuckles now has fingers, he can finally play the piano like he always dreamed.
This is probably the vaguest prediction since I have almost nothing to go off of, but I feel like this Amy will be a bit more capable (her being the only one to land on her feet in the trailer while everyone else sort of splats on the ground).
I know I’m late, ( normally I like the sonic games to be a surprise)
But what in the absolute hell knuckles. Goddam!
And sonic stole that damn scarf from Nathan Drake and shit.
And speed isn’t the main focus of the game?

Other playable characters have been running as fast as Sonic since Sonic the Hedgehog 2, this isnt new.

I think the knuckles outcry is a bit extreme. He still looks like Knuckles just after eating a Super Shroom And this Sonic thing isnt replacing anyyhing. If these were permanent changes it woukd he an issue. As long as hes still our yough black on the inside character its all good. But i do wonder why they decided to buff him up
Edit: Nvm after scrolling up and seeing the before and after on that muscle ad they shoulda kept a more teadrional knuckles look. but whatever
Beat Sonic Lost World 3DS finally, paid full price.
Liked it. Dimps definitely stepped it up on the 3DS after the shitty Sonic Generations game they gave us.
I’m getting a Wii U soon, Sonic Boom was perfect timing. Can’t wait to play that the Lost World.
