new chaos emerald things hopefully arent to annoying to do but look passable. Im fine with them for now just from looking at it but will see when the time comes to play it and how annoying they are if they get harder and harder.
Im sure chances are low but im still hoping for some hyper sonic action, i wanna flash different colors and have shadows on my dude going fast and fucking shit up.

IGN has 2 vids that have different gameplay of the special and bonus stages, they haven’t put them up on youtube yet.
They’re version of the UFO stages shouldn’t be as difficult since you don’t have to destroy the UFO you just need to catch up to it.
I’m with Clayton on this one. There needs to be some significant reward for doing the blue sphere stages.
ya like ummm, that seems pretty damn pointless honestly. Like were playing a game where one of the gimmicks is going fast, and now youre gonna make me random ring post special stages… the sonic 3 and knuckles one… Thats like 5 mins… for nothing. I mean I never thought those were that fun in the first place. But chaos emeralds…super/hyper sonic so you did them. But now they are just the regular special? So thinking about it we might have stages with 3 posts or however long the stage is. Thats like another 15 mins on top of us playing a game for… nothing? I mean what could possible be in it to make those worth while realistically to a normal player?

also no hyper sonic is lame. Adding in hyper sonic, hyper tails, hyper knuckles. Sure maybe it doesnt HAVE to be there. We have super. But its that extra icing on the cake to say, going the extra mile to make the game just a little bit cooler that made sonic 3 and knuckles so special I think.

Wellwe dont know how pointless they are yet since apparently you can earn silver or gold medals for the bonus stages you complete ( depending on whether you grab all the spheres or all the spheres and rings). We dont know what they are for.
Ya problem is those stages take like 5 mins whatever to do. So even if they have a good point, thats a pretty bizarre change of pace to the game to have to do multiple times a stage. At least when its in the other games, you beat it you were done. So now its like what happens when you beat the game? Theres no point in ever playing them again. I guess at the end of the day the reward big or small, those stages are pretty tedious and just a means to a end to me they werent particular fun. The bonus stages before were a fun 30 second break, get you a one up, a shield, some rings whatever it might be.
I cant think of anything that would make it that worth while. Unlock past games? I guess… kinda cool? But how many do I have to do to get that?
Overall meh~ idea to me as is… still buying game first day though as is, im staying cautiously optimistic.
Im not upset over lack of Hyper Sonic. Lame and redundant imo. Super forms for Tail and Knux tho would be nice.

Other day my homie hit me up to complain about Forces, and from what I got was it was nonsense rambling and just that hating to hate. The only thing he specified was that he didn’t like the create a character shit. Other than that he was really coming off as one of those niggas who hate 3d sonic, which is totally fine, but all that whining he was doing when he doesn’t like 3d Sonic just seemed hella extra especially when Mania is coming out to cater to his tastes.
I haven’t been actively following Forces, so to me so far it just seems like Generations with a “serious” story and the OC stuff
how about this I think the blue sphere is the best sonic chaos emerald game out of all of them. But what does that mean? First one is, well… Theres just not enough reward for doing it, so it feels lame. Like yah… I did it… silence … 2 was cool to look at when you were a kid, but playing it, its more frustrating than fun. 3 and knuckles, isnt really that fun either, but they arent that hard, more a means to a end so it felt it had a purpose even if they are tedious. Plus unlike 2 which had no saves which made the fact that you had to go through them every single fucking time if you wanted to play as super sonic as a kid(unless you used birthday code or whatever)… 3 and knuckles again tedious but you knew what it was for so it was easier to accept as a necessary evil.
As for hyper sonic being stupid, well what else would you have besides him? Because theres no fucking point to doing super emeralds unless you have the hyper forms. Thats like… the lure of the game that made it worth while to do. It sorta fits into the story to say so you can accept it easier. And if you weren’t rewarded for a more powerful super sonic than there would be point in having another round of doing them again. How could you justify that to the player making them do 7 all over again?
I mean very very rarely can I ever think of any game what so ever where the mini game was more fun than the reward. Im trying to think of it now, and fuck me I cant even think of any off hand but im sure im forgetting some. So again you gotta give the player something to look forward to that justifies it.
Super Tails was broken asf. 90 percent of the bosses die with him just standing there.
