When I get home, I’ll have to try him then. The integrated can handle narrow pipelines just fine. Ran like a dre…er. Well, it ran considerably less awful in Green Hill anyway :P.
Oooh, they put Un-Gravitify in the game? Love the hell out of that song. Steve Conte FTW.
I haven’t unlocked classic sonic’s homing attack yet but based off vids I’ve seen of it it looks far better than Sonic 4’s since it doesn’t look like it kills your momentum and you actually get a good bounce height off of it. I’ll have to make that a focus to mess around with it.
So I’ve done everything! except the red rings. Just gotta wrap up Seaside Hill and Planet Wisp with both Sonics and I’ll get 2 silvers and a gold.
By the way has there been any statement about the online being broken? I will be seriously pissed if 2 trophies are the only things holding me back from getting a platinum.
So, people complain about Planet Wisp, but I just got an “S” my very first run with Classic Sonic. Really wasn’t that bad at all. On the other hand, Modern Sonic…
Also, to those of you who don’t know, to unlock Homing Attack for Classic Sonic you need to get all the Red Rings in Planet Wisp.
i got it yesterday and beat it today…great game my personal complaints
shadows VA: ok im probaly the only one whos gonna say this but i thought they did a great job with the VA’s in this game…expcets shadows…i mean…wtf…the VA don’t even sound like he was trying. maybe cause shadow only got like 4 lines in this game but damn give me some effort! LEAST SLIVERS SOUNDED BETTER…FUCKIN SLIVER PPL.
city escape: 2 things …
1.that truck in the classaic part of this stage was the biggest troll ever…he destroyed shit before i even got to em T_T
2…i hate the remix of city escape they did here…why are all the other songs awesome/good/ok but they couldn’t give me a decent city escape ost…change it to “it dosen’t matter” sounds alot better for that stage
planet wisp: i never played this stage in sonic color seeing how i never had the game to begin with…
i hated this stage… 11 MINS ON CLASSIC COME ON!!! this stage made me rage…but i probaly do alot better now that i know what to expect.
bosses: now don’t get me wrong i thought they did good making the bosses interesting and fun. however, i felt they all was lacking that “extreme” factor. this is directed towards the sonic 2 boss. they coulda done so much better with this but it was like…easy as hell…even for a sonic game. the 2 bosses i love in here were the shadow fight and the egg dragoon fight. defenitly loved the egg dragoon fight more seeing how it was regular sonic and not the fuckin werehog >_>
but this was defo a buy. probaly gonna pop it in when im tired of playing these FG’S. also one last thing, in the credits…they showed video of sonic 06 and they made it to make you think its not ass. i lol’d
Definitely agree with the Shadow VA part. I hope they use Shadow’s voice from Sonic Adventure again, that was the best voice imo.
I just wish they let us use the original City Escape song.
If you run it right, he should not be able to destroy anything you can platform on. Don’t worry, he’s really just a lil bitch!
Most people felt Egg Dragoon was the best boss because it was the only one that wasn’t easy or had you like, “WTF, is Super Sonic moving?”

This guy’s pretty good. Yeah, there’s already a speed run of this stage by Kapi, but this isn’t really a speed run. Basically, he sticks to one route that’s fast and grabs red rings on the way. If his route has no ring, he’ll briefly show you where it is after the main run. Basically, he’s doing a guide and he’s up to Seaside Hill.
^You have got to be fucking kidding me…
EDIT: Oh yeah just beat the game but man do I suck lol. I need to watch vids to see how I can S-Rank Planet Wisp.
Overall a good game, I give it 9/10.
Main complaints are that I feel there are more challenges than needed, RED RINGS, Restarting in main stages cost a life (this should be omitted if u beat the game at least), some bosses weren’t very impressive.
Non the less this is a very good game, try to keep it up SEGA ;3
This got me to thinking: SEGA’s rerelease of Sonic CD is also an update of it of sorts right? Think if they got this right MAYBE they can go back to Sonic 2006, fix it up and then put on PSN and XBL?
The Classic Sonic speed runs apparently use a glitch which people are calling the “blast effect.” Basically, you do a Spin Dash, and when you hit a certain speed, you hold up-forward on the controller and hit jump. You have to continue to hold up-forward throughout the jump. But, this makes you fly through the air at high speed. The effect is similar to using a Spin Dash to go off of a ledge (which is used in that City Escape video), but it can be used anywhere. I honestly haven’t tried it yet, so I’m not sure how easy/hard it is (or if it really exists). I’ve seen some crazy jumps, but I don’t know if that is due to this glitch, or if it is due to the level design.
Also, Classic Sonic’s Homing Attack isn’t as good as Modern Sonic’s, but it is still useful in some situations. It goes a shorter distance and bounces lower than Modern Sonic’s Homing attack. It takes all 100 skill points to use.
I think it is because the Shield part is not important, you don’t ever really need one to get through the game. The reason you use them is for the ability you gain from having each one.
