For some reason back in the day I would watch the reruns over and over again. Most of the time most people can’t stand to watch the same episode more than a couple of times, but it was different with The Simpsons. My favourite episodes were the Halloween episodes.
I lost complete interest in the show once it started to try to be more and more relevant to todays pop culture topics. What made The Simpsons so great was that it lived in its own world, and once in a while you would get the odd topic/celebrity that was relevant at the time.
Not a big loss. I discovered One Piece not long after!

Mr. Burns would make sense. Closest thing the series has had to an antagonist, outside its own writing staff over the past 10 years.
