“We work hard, we play hard” Everybody dance now!
Classic.
It’s going for 2 more seasons at least.
Harry Shearer said he would be fine with a paycut, but that the voice cast has pretty much never seen any of the billions that Fox makes.

see what we are essentially saying is that the show took a huge nosedive around the same time Phil Hartman died, obviously Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure were the glue that held the show together
I think the last ep I saw (and turned me off) was the one where Skinner was revealed to be Armin Tamzarian. The real Skinner attempted to reclaim his life but was tied to a train and everyone just accepted this.
I havent watched any Simpsons at all since then but some of my fav eps are: (bear with me)
-Homer discovers his half-brother Herb and causes him to lose his business by desgining an outrageous car.
“He had it all until he discovered he was a Simpson”-Lisa
-the barbershop quartet
– Homer quits his job, becomes a bowling alley worker, then has to reclaim his job after he learns that Marge is pregnant w/ Maggie
–an episode where Lisa goes to D.C for an essay contest and witnesses a senator make an illegal deal and changes her essay to a anti-political rant.
–The Treehouse segments: Monkey paw, Burns attaching his head to Homers body, Satan/Neds Soul Donut, Bart becoming the fly
–Monorail
-Who shot burns
…at least that sounds a lot better and more plausible than “It was great before Conan left” which was the revisionist hipster belief up until 2 years ago as if Conan even amounted to 1% of what was done on The Simpsons.
I have no idea why nobody ever brings up the fact that Al Jean has been the sole show runner for the longest time and what kept the “golden” Simpsons in check was that there were more than one show runners most of the time and it changed periodically in the early half of the show’s run.
I hate every ape I see, from chimpan-a to chimpan-z!
I would seriously go see a planet of the apes musical, if it was like the simpsons version.

which episode was this?
Homer the Moe. But that’s probably the best part of the episode anyway.
If I ever learn to drive the monorail at work, I hope my trainer will get the referce. Bonus if he tells me
“remember, mono means one and rail means rail”

phew. i always wanted to watch but i didn’t feel like getting into a show in the middle of it because then i’d be scouring the internet for spoilers all the time like i did with Lost. now I can finally just watch it straight through without any interruptions

the only big continuity thing imo is homer killing maude oh whoops
I was never a big simpsons fan, but it’s always sad to see something that has been going for so long pass.

If only the Family Circus (which loses badly to Calvin and Hobbes…kinda like Simpsons vs Family Guy) would die.
i think the simpson writers forgot about that episode because in the Olympic mascot episode Agnes has a flashback to when she was pregnant with skinner.

I couldn’t find a proper one with “Can’t sleep, clowns will eat me” or “If I had a girlfriend, she’d kill me”
Hallowe’en won’t be the same without the Treehouse of Horrors though

“Take that, Washington!”
“Eat lead, Einstein!”
“Show’s over, Shakespeare!”
