dunno what random neckbreaker u seen but i only did 1 or 2 thru that whole match just cause he was mash jabbing, and i kept gettin hit out of whatever i did so i did the neckbreaker to stop him. only move that randomly came out was the DragonPunchKicks i was tryin to get my super meter up just like daigo does with wiffed dragon punches. and i most of been thinking because he block the kicks and i focus dash cancel in threw him out of it… but thanks. i have yet to learn all the mixes up… i learn the bnb with out launcher df mk throw mix up… tryin other as we speak

I know that there’s some area’s which I did an obvious mistake, or some that I read as a prediction. I know I’m supposed to post the ones where I lost, and I will once I get my videos organized. You might have to ask me first at some points in the vid if those were mistakes, intentional, or psychic reading (note: These were all done online, so some of it may not be accurate). I play my Ibuki in an unusual way, so it would be great to see some opinions of you guys of what you think.
Other then that, I would appreciate the critique’s of how I can improve my Ibuki, what other different strageties I should do in that match-up, and what I did right/wrong etc.
i posted this in the other thread only one person gave me feedback so im posted it in here since this is for beginner and that what i am…

sometime i get the combos and sometimes i drop them i try to prest the button as quick as possible on the right timing but eh… does whiff dragonkick mean extra meter like dragon punches cause ive been tryin that in matches as u will see.
I don’t recall seeing Daigo use whiffed lp.dp’s at close range to build meter. Usually he’s using that knockdown time to setup some sort of safe jump or block string or something. And considering Ibuki has many more mixup options than Ryu, it’s probably better to setup your next mixup instead of whiffing kazegiri for meter when you knock your opponent down, imo.
If you really want meter, and your opponent is bad or is reluctant to press buttons, just do cheesy block strings like
TC4 xx lk.cd or hk.cd
TC4 xx SJC tk kunai
TC4 , walk up a few frames , TC4
TC6 xx J or SJC , kunai
If your opponent keeps blocking, you’ll build up so much meter it’s ridiculous lol.
inn his earlier matches he use to do that alot…but stop
First I wanna say your Ibuki is actually not bad, despite your opponents being quite terrible. Your reaction speed seems to be mixed imo. You don’t antiair much, but you are somehow really good at looking for command dash openings when your opponent is pressuring you. Even if those command dashes weren’t planned, I still give you kudos.
Not much else to say though. Again your opponents were bad, and I didn’t really get a chance to analyze your methods of “getting in” on your opponent. Like for example this Guile keeps blindly jumping at you and (fail) rushing you down and spamming cr.HK (which is insanely punishable btw. please punish this!) and you get free throws everywhere. And then this terribad Boxer keeps spamming dash punches at full screen, while you spam random neckbreakers.
I can tell you’re a far better player than what that 1100PP says. If you massed a bunch of ranked matches and played seriously, you could probably max out at like 2000-2500PP or so. So far the only mistakes I could see were a lack of matchup knowledge (safe jump Boxer when he has meter, use full TC4 on Boxer, etc.) and footsies/zoning issues (always always always buffer a special when doing cr.MP, don’t let your opponent get free jumpins, etc.). Post some losing replays for better advice.

Try playing a game where all you do is block and tech throws. This will help your defense by forcing you to read your opponent’s patterns and recognize block strings so that next time you won’t have to think about mashing dp or backdash.
Next play a game where you only use your normals, as well as block and tech throws. This will help your footsies/zoning game. This part will probably be quite tedious, since Ibuki’s normals are not very good, but it should at least help teach you about her hitboxes and general spacing.
Then, play a game where you use specials alongside normals, and still blocking/teching throws. This should build off of your footsies/zoning game, such that every antiair = knockdown, and every non-whiffed cr.MP = tsumuji kicks. Following a knockdown, go for safe jumps all the time if possible, otherwise if they’re not safe jumpable (ie: shoto) then just stand next to them on wakeup and do meaty setups. Don’t bother with vortex or fancy mixups. The point of this exercise is to help you learn your block strings, frame traps, and “block beaters” as Dime calls it. Also the point of this is to familiarize yourself with risk/reward scenarios and baiting/punishing. For example, safe jumps into block string is pretty much air tight with no room for reversals unless you purposely (or accidentally) create one. On the other hand, meaty setups such as cr.LK on your opponent’s wakeup is much riskier in the sense that you’re open to a wakeup reversal.
Finally you can add mixups and vortex to your arsenal and then you can see how much more solid you’ll be.
I actually posted these in the other video thread, but may as well put them in here too

what do people mean by vortex?? is that something like frame traps?
This is it

ohh that a vortex… i had no idea thought it was just a regulr thang lol usually i dont do it cause some ppl see it coming all about time i suppose.
The term vortex refers to a wake up game where guessing wrong puts you right back in the same situation. In this case if you don’t block the Kunai properly you are knocked down again which Ibuki can continue applying pressure.

Around 3:47 is rather funny glitch.
That was just brutal to watch.
That was just brutal to watch.
3:06, she techs a crumple…
the heart transitions kill me lol
Hmm i knew bout this Glitch…it’s like Ryu U2 and Gouken’s U1…Same Exact effect. Funny though. THe funniest I think is Ryu’s U2, VS Ibuki’s which Will 1 hit Trade giving Ryu Damage and Ibuki wont be hurt at all while both Ultra’s will break as well
Alright, this one would be much better… Though I lost all 12 matches, I do not have much knowledge of this ‘kind’ of akuma match-up. Any tips?

Outside of OS Neckbreaker (to deal with teleports) and Jumping Back (HJ) to punish those Raging Demon failures, I can’t think of anything major other than to guess or block his offense better.
