Kreative those are some good videos and im not trying to be a dick but you NEED to go back to the training son and get to work… this isn’t the critique so im not going into detail, Good stuff get better post more vids ect ect. Oh btw keep rockin the alts need more support no one seems to like em ;/
At least from these videos, I’m learning what to NOT do with Ibuki. That’s something, I guess, right?
lmao
No problem, I don’t get mad at CC, but yeah, I do have to go to training. I’ll post in the Critique thread too for some tips.
I like the alt personally, I don’t know why alot of people hate the Ibuki Alt. lol
Anything specific I should work on ??

It shows off how her neck is like hunched forward instead of straight up like a normal person.
Do you intentionally try to make yourself look good by playing Corey who only spams buttons and tries to do DP motions?
@ Kreative: Bro, basic fundamentals.
- You lead with sweeps any chance you get, Learn your BNB’s, go into training for like 5 hours and grind that shit out
- unsafe neckbreakers for days, this is hard habit to break, but eventually good players will start taking matches from you because of that shit
- Don’t end blocked BNB’s with neckbreakers, you should have more then enough time to hitconfirm the TC, but that’s why we use tsumuji rather than neckbreakers, it’s a little safer
- the launcher target combo usually only works against scrubs, it gives people more then enough time to visually react and block, and if you’re going to throw it out at all, don’t do it until you’ve mind fucked your opponent, start with the damaging vortex first and save that as a mixup
@ Mingo: I agree, i use her Alt from time to time but i think she looks fuckin dumb
@ Cuba: c’mon man, constructive criticism, there’s no need for shit talking here.
@Tough Thanks, I’ll grind that out tonight when I get home. The Neckbreakers are hard to get out of it.
@Cuba, Yeah man, He makes me look super pro lol, but honestly, I didnt know he spammed that until I saw that fight on replay.
I wasn’t trying to talk smack but leave coreys videos out until he feels like he can improve. Just stick to less risky things and cut down on random neckbreakers. They may work for now but people will begin to bait it and get a free combo.
Worse than a combo. I’m pretty sure there’s plenty of ultras that can come out faster than in 13 frames.
First of all, from now on I don’t want to see any more random neckbreakers. Ever. Every time you do a random neckbreaker I want you to punch the wall as hard as you can to punish your hand for doing random shit. What’s worse is that you do full screen! fucking neckbreakers. That’s even scrubbier than flowchart Kens mashing reversal dp even when their opponent is not within range.
- No more fucking up combos. 1 frame links, fine. 2 frame link, it’s online, I’ll give you that. But messing up TC4 xx neckbreaker? I would think after all of those random neckbreakers, you’d at least be able to combo into it properly.
- Learn how to vortex. Half the time I see a shoto simply reversal dp his way out of it for free. Go back to training room and grind that shit until you get the timing down.
- Learn how to combo after a vortex. Vortex kunai into cr.HK is not your best option. Actually it must be your worst option because if your opponent blocks your kunai, what are you gonna do? cr.HK? Good players are going to punish that shit. Learn how to TC instead.
- Taunt on a dizzy is ok, but taunt then FA is a nono. If your opponent was mashing to get undizzied, you’re not going to FA in time. Hell you probably won’t even be able to finish your entire taunt animation before your opponent gets undizzied. Very foolish here to taunt and then eat a full (counterhit!!!) ultra.
- Learn how to cancel b+MP into stuff. Your best options here are command dash into kazegiri or raida. Either way, you’re scoring a solid knockdown and the game swings in your favor since you get to start your rush down.
- Start learning which characters you can/cannot do full TC4 on. It seems you always go for st.LP xx st.MP 1 hit xx neckbreaker half of the time, and st.LP xx st.MP 1 hit xx st.HP xx neckbreaker the other half. Especially big characters like Sagat, they can take the full force of your target combos.
- Learn to react and neckbreaker on reaction when you see Akuma teleport. Better yet, option select it. Akuma shouldn’t be able to freely get out of your pressure game anytime he wants like that.
- You do know you have raida, right? How the fuck does THawk get to stand next to you and command throw you on wakeup, like 10 times in a row? If you’re so unsure, just backdash. I don’t think THawk has any good option selects to cover the range of Ibuki’s backdash. Or you can burn a bar and use EX kazegiri, 50/50 chance of surviving if it’s blocked. Or you can get out the old fashioned way and EX kazegiri xx FADC , backdash, but that’s a little expensive. Best saved for last round, low hp situations.
- Throwing grapplers is NEVER a good idea. You got away by playing a scrub THawk, but against good players, they’re just going to throw you first. They have a command grab, you don’t.
- Your kunai zoning is quite lacking, and so is your defense game and ability to maintain spacing, evident from that Ryu that tried to rush you down with random shorts and short tatsus combined with random dps. You hardly ever antiaired. You made poor attempts at kunai zoning him. You never command dashed (or regular dashed) under his horribly spaced jumpins. No you didn’t do anything but sit there and eat all of his random lk’s. What the hell there were even enough gaps in those “strings” to even throw him out of his laughable rushdown. And when you did do something, it was either a random neckbreaker, or jumping back fierce until you were in the corner, and then random neckbreaker! again to escape.
To answer your question more specifically, here is what you should work on:
- NO MORE RANDOM NECKBREAKERS
- Combos, BnBs, TC/4/6/7, etc.
- NO MORE RANDOM NECKBREAKERS
- Vortexing, un-dp-able vortexing
- Kunai zoning, spacing, defense game
- NO MORE RANDOM NECKBREAKERS
tl,dr: Go grind in the training room. Your Ibuki needs srs practice.
Also please post videos of only losing fights. If you win the fight, obviously your opponent did a shit job of exemplifying your mistakes.
Mingo, reading your replys I’ve learnt a lot about my Ibuki as well. I do random neckbreakers which I deff need to stop and I do understand that I need to grind the shit out of my tcs and my vortex. I know those weren’t my videos that were posted, but I play similar to him and I just wanna thank you for the feedback, because it also helped me out a hellava lot! I’ll try to get some videos of myself up so you can chew my ass up lol. Again thanks bro you really have helped me.
