philly how long have you been training on that combo? what would you rate the level of your combo?
I named it hard mix up lol
yes its hard right?
It’s not a mixup noob. Give it a new name.
uhh… a Noobuki combo!!!
It makes it difficult for your opponent to guess where to block next. I always thought that was the definition of a mix up…
At the start and on the reset, Ibuki jumps straight at her opponent, and she’s too far from j.LK crossup range.
yes isn’t it? lol
and if you have u1 stocked, do the mix up and sjc command dash out of c.fp for u1!!! lol
you can cross up if you sjc out of c.fp
i honestly see no reason to ever use df mk. if you can slide under it safely, you can focus absorb it or jump over it. its a terrible move and is extremely situational. if another ibuki were to hit me with that move, i could start a free tc on her.
A little bit beyond cr.hk range seems like the best range for cr.mk to get past fireballs but not risk hitting your opponent. For those times that you want to move forward past the fireball but not absorb it (eg: your ultra is full, or you want to begin pressuring without worrying that one unfortunate hit will cost you a bunch of hp).
philly one u are my inspiration for becoming a beast with ibuki
yeah i get all that but maybe im just not used to having an attack that i usually dont even want to hit my opponent with. maybe its just me.
i personally would just rather not take that kind of risk with a low stamina character and since i seem to always have meter with ibuki id just rather wait for the fireball to ex neckbreaker.
i get that im not playing allstars on xbox live but one combo gets u nearly a full bar so i dunno why i would risk eating a free 25% combo after a slide that was just slightly off when i feel i have much safer options and while i want that knockdown ive got a pretty good keep away game until i feel im ready to get in there.
i know it has its uses but when i play an ibuki im hoping they throw that slide out. my friend and i play at work sometimes and hes a noob so i just mess around with him and test out my kunai timing from different distances. but he doesnt care about framedata or being safe and he throws that crap out all day and just for fun i keep letting him hit me with it and then i tc him, but because it keeps hitting me he thinks its a good move still. he asked me once if it was an unblockable combo. im sure ill tell him someday.
very god like. i think i need to learn/practice that setup too. are you quitting cammy for good?
well she’s still good against bison, etc… but for now i’m more like training my Ibuki to overcome those bad match ups
Here are some matches(which I think it’s worth to share) from my local friends
first Petet68 gief

he’s not that bad but in this video he just spamed larriats to death may be it’s from frustaration of kunai zonning?
and yes I did the hard mix up on him
Noobuki mix up good stuff.
oh well haha
Just watched it, very nice man, sucks he blocked it.
I think you should always go for a cross up, at least for now. Until people are aware that this setup can cross them up, they will probably automatically block the normal way.
one more match video for whom may struggle with bison
i got the answer in this video… lol

just block, block, block, and block then wait for the opening
and Akuma looks like Ibuki’s favor

and Ken… so many troubles he can give to Ibuki

p.s. I’m working on aa to mixups now which is already in my muscle memory
b+mp command dash (if you were in the corner, use lk version) c.fp, sjc command dash
you can do kazegiri fadc after b+mp command dash though, I think it’s a waste
Can anyone give me some pointers what i do wrong?
