lol.

ahh, that launcher to sj cross lk kept getting dp’d. Nice.

That’s kind of funny considering I dp-ed you more than half the time (and one time with raw ultra) lol, and most of the times you successfully jumped at me were when I was already pushing a button; fireball, cr.MK, etc.

Why do you never show input display? Don’t you want to expose my psychic (mashed) dp’s?

There was someone on GAF who told me that showing inputs was annoying. Especially since I press a million buttons at the start of every GG and hidden buttons depending on what set-up I’m planning on doing. For example, when I press :3p: after a Neckbreaker.

I never get a jump-in on Yota. =(
One thing though, I was expecting you to switch your Anti-air to :lp: when you had Ultra, which is why I was doing a jump-forward Kunai.

Well, this guy is stupid. I think inputs are very important for replays. Especially for Ibuki, so you can actually check which version of command dash is the player doing… They are more useful than annoying imho.

But I agree with him. From a studying point of view, they’re great, but you can ask me personally what set-ups I’m using. When they’re not there match dynamics are more fun. If you watch Kuroda play in person you’ll know what I mean, it’s not as magic like when you see a hundred parry buffers during a round. I was playing 3S with my friend early today and I parried the EX Hayate each time. If he could see the inputs he wouldn’t be impressed, and thus would have less fun.

If you knew that Mingo’s Ultra Combo reaction looked like with the inputs you’d probably be like “-____-”. A random neckbreaker would have caught his buffers.

What happened at 5:45?

Why so random???

5:35 sorry, I deleted my comment 'cause I had the wrong time.

Are you talking to Mr.DP?

I’m talking to Mr. DP, Mr. Sweep, Mr. Ex Fireball, Mr. Lets press random buttons and hope something hits, and Mr. Jump in at the beginning of the match:)

A quick tally of the 6 games:

(all dp’s counted were not comboed into)
Hit dp: 19
Blocked/whiffed dp: 5 (including 2 failed ultras inputs)
Option select dp whiff: 1
DP FADC hit: 1
DP FADC blocked: 1

~80% success rate; I’d say I did pretty well

Not my fault for my opponent not punishing me. I must have done something right if he couldn’t make the read and punish me for all this random, right?

MingoDynasty’s DPs are NOT mashed and my cr.Fierce into Jumps are execution errors.

Jumping in at the start of the round is something I did for a specific reason. I once played a guy who threw a fireball at the start of the very first round, and in the Bo5 he never did again. He was always looking for a jump. He implanted this idea in my head that sometimes he’ll start with a fireball, and that was enough to get me jumping sometimes. With MingoDynasty, he did two things. Not only does he sometimes start with a fireball, he starts with cr.Roundhouse.

I noticed this immediately, and realised that the was looking for my slide at the start of the round. I started a round with one to give him that idea. Now that he thinks I’m multi-dimensional at the start of each round, my Jump-Ins should at least deal block-stun. If he did a cr.Forward at the start of each round, he could still anti-air me and stop me sliding, but if he started doing that I would start my rounds to counter that.

Furthermore I took this risk because it’s a first to five, not a singular game. Also MingoDynasty was mistiming his DPs to only do a smaller amount of damage.

Um… What are you smoking?

Let me guess your the type of person that will never admit that they made a mistake right? Instead of making excuses and getting defensive when someone critiques you …nvm

BTW I’m not talking about anti-airs. So I don’t know why you would even tally that up

EDIT - Who said anything about mashed. Randomness does not need to be mashed

Timing them so that they hit for full damage is really hard online, especially when you have a kunai I have to worry about. In either case, I’ve stopped worrying about the damage and focused more on utilizing the free knockdown.

80% is not good enough? I know we shinobi have high standards but damn

Not even sure who you’re “critiquing”.

Well you would be Mr. DP, Mr. Sweep, Mr. Ex Fireball, Mr. Lets press random buttons and hope something hits. Your basically guessing every time your on the defense. I understand once and a while you need to take the chance with a reversal. But it really seems you just throw shit out there just because you have a 3 frame reversal. I don’t know why you can’t see that. I was actually laughing while watching the video.

And doing anything risky in the beggining of the match is just stupid whether it be throwing a fireball or guess jumping Izuna. This is a game of reaction.

So I’m not supposed to mash dp every time I get pressured? Have I been playing this game wrong the whole time?!

Iyo does this. =)

AFAIK I only baited one DP with block-stun. If I don’t punish your Tatsu, then by all means.

Finally done encoding and uploaded:

Gosh my Makoto is terrible. I remember these matches. My execution was horrible sometimes I couldn’t even do wake-up Ultra anymore. I couldn’t break the habit of doing U2 whenever you so much as jumped or pressed a button. I should have adapted faster and realised that this isn’t 3S, I can’t punish everything with it.

Towards the end I played a bit better finally remembering that Fukiage beats up your Overhead, and my Tsurugi was actually coming out when I wanted it. Though offline it may have been a *little *bit different because when we play online, it’s slower, and that hurts Makoto a little.

I have a basic Makoto whereas you studied those Sako vs. Haitani matches. Very well done regardless.
