What’s the point of using b+MP as a counterhit setup? And what is the exact setup anyways?

I already mentioned this to someone else, it’s completely pointless and Sako is doing it just for style.
st.MP , b+MP xx LK cd?

cr.LK , b+MP , st.LK?
I don’t know why you say it pointless? Some players crouch tech early and others late. Agamen set ups are good for people crouch tech early.
Mingo after st. strong, cr. jab, or cr. lk. Its not a bad idea to do agamen or st. lk to catch a crouch tech basically.
The purpose of this isn’t for hitting people who crouch-tech late or not. It’s because when you get a CH Ageman and do LK CD you’re at positive frames. It’s pointless because if you do cr.MK instead and score a counter-hit you can hit-confirm into st.MK xx whatever. cr.MK also hits low and is 0 on block. Now when I mentioned he did it for style, had it been counter-hit, Tokido who probably isn’t used to seeing it probably would have gotten hit by Sako’s follow-up.
Finally, st.MP, Ageman has a 4-frame gap.
I say pointless because I can’t think of why b+MP would be better than Ibuki’s best button: st.MP. The second hit of b+MP negates the benefits of using it as a frame trap and getting a specific counterhit combo. The only reason I can think of is that it maybe moves Ibuki forward, I guess?
I’ve been catching crouch techs just fine with st.MP and cr.MP (Ibuki’s next best button imo); that’s why I think b+MP is pointless and await someone to prove me wrong.
By the way, what do you guys think about Sako’s combo, ending with Kazegiri FADC st.HK j.HK ?
I tried it in training and it just seems fancy. Not that damaging, not that stunning, and burns 2 meters, I wouldn’t think of a good way to use it. Any opinions on this?
I think he meant to do SJC xx HK cd but he got j.HK by accident.
Well, he did it twice (maybe even thrice) against Tokido. I wouldn’t think Sako himself could miss such a “common” combo three times in a row, right?
And it was not a super jump either, so I doubt even more that he could just miss a super jump ^^
