No no the video is perfect, it’s great to summarise all of the new combo possibilities.
For End Game fair enough, do what you please if you want to style on your opponent when the battle is won. Yoroitoshi is a really good juggle, but Hashinsho is just invariably worse than using simply Raida or Roundhouse Kazegiri (and with good execution, HJC Kasumi Gake, cr.Fierce) in every situation.
I’m pretty amazed you can do that combo. Can you do it consistently? I imagine that doing that would instantly lead to a rage-quit.
Nice video. However I find that using the ultra meter, in those ways, results in less damage/stun than just going for standard SJC kasumi gake combos. It’s nice that they are locked into the ultra, instead of having them bounce out and SEVERELY punishing you for committing a minor mistake.
In practice, the improvements to f+HK and the b+mk f+mk are VERY welcome. That counterhit F+hk does a good chunk of damage if you can them trying to crouch-tech, and I enjoy using b+mk in more of my footsies game.
As I recall, all the cr.shorts are also 1-frame links correct? I have trouble connecting jabs after a crouch-tech, it feels pretty difficult to pull off.
cr.Short links I can do pretty much consistently, and I usually get about 2/3 in on standing opponents before I link into st.Jab. It doesn’t feel like a 1-frame link to be, but technically you can plink Short with Jab.
You can plink a cr.LK with cr.LP. You can’t plink cr.LP with LK (cr.LK having priority over cr.LP for a random reason)
And you can’t plink st.LK with st.LP, it’d result in a throw, I’m not sure it is what you want
Little girls dream to be princesses, average people dream to be on TV or starred in a movie, real people dream to have a dedicated playlist in YogaFlame24’s channel
No idea you could plink cr.short, thanks for the tip.
I think it’s just the way the game engine works, where kicks of the same strength have priority over the punch. It’s the opposite or 3s, where the punch has priority over the kick. But pressing lp + lk with 2 fingers will be unusual for me, since I usually throw and crouch-tech with one finger over both buttons. I don’t think being able to plink a st.lk for Ibuki would be beneficial anyway, at least for me I don’t have problems landing her st.lk in a basic combo.
In other news, I played 18 Ranked Matches and my greatest victory was against N.1 Seth, and my saltiest loss is against a Makoto player who Fukikusa’d me all day. =)
He’s a guy on Youtube, has various matches of top players all around the world organized in neat playlists for each player. Basically if you’re in his channel, you’re probably somebody important to look out for.
My combo video is hype. I have 7 new combos no one has ever done before. It’s all on paper-though and because I don’t have a programmable controller it’s going to take me a couple of hours to pull them off and edit the video. I have to be someone 10AM tomorrow so I’m considering staying up tonight to get it done.
BTW, you know you’re a womaniser when you get a room full of introverted girls to dance to Real Love by Mary J. Blige…
Oh my days I’ve finally got it done, so now I’m just doing the editing/uploading. Turns out my final combo was impossible to I added another 1-frame link in to make it easier, got it second try. 20 minutes trying to do something which was nearly impossible.
In case you’re wondering what it was, it was CH st.Roundhouse st.Strong st.Strong st.Forward Loop st.Jab st.Forward. It seems that it’s only possible either in the corner, or it you walk forward one frame after that st.Roundhouse. It’ll be up in about 2 hours I suppose.
I gotta go down to the Christmas Event ASAP, ring up MadCatz, and attend my Police Cadets party. This Combo Video should have been done last night but I feel right asleep before 11PM lol.
Done. Pretty impressive video. Did you try that cr.fp, to FA attack on Seth on purpose? Or was that just by accident? Also how do you get kazagiri xx super to connect? I have problems with this combo and I’m not sure if it’s my timing that’s off or that I’m using the wrong version of kazagiri. The character always seems to bounce out, or only gets hit by half the kunais.
