The Shinobi Secrets: Ibuki Video Thread

These guys are paying you??

haha no I’m joking. I would be less popular though. They are looking to sponsor their players to major tournaments, but before that happens the leader wants to make sure everyone’s good enough.

[S][details=Spoiler]… or has 3000PP+ (I’m dead serious).[/details][/S]

I’m more of a media guy until Final Showdown comes out, or when I can get As on my exams for next year, haha. They’d like having a player in Japan representing Virtua Fighter.

Wow, that’s the first time I saw SoleChris actually try and play smart.

If that’s the case, then your leader should probably employ a serious training regimen for his members, or start cutting them.

You must be delusional.

What makes you say that? I’m just doing my apparent job.
EDIT: I’m obviously joking.

I said “try”

Btw this is the same guy from here: Looking for skilled ibuki
I wonder where his 4500PP went?

Before you watch it, I have to say that I don’t usually spam that many FA’s or mash that many EX kazegiris. Just that I played several games with him right before with Ken and I noticed he ALWAYS did

  1. Random TAP/dash punch spam at midrange
  2. EX dash punch (or jab dash punch if he didn’t have meter) after blocked FA1
  3. EX dash punch or mash jab after blocked TAP
My instinctive reaction to punish obvious button presses is usually EX kazegiri, but wtf it doesn’t even have enough invincibility to beat EX dash punch? Ibuki’s EX kazegiri might be the only EX dp in the game that loses to EX dash.

The only things I was focused on were punishing these habits, then autopilot vortex. Well, I did notice he almost never blocked the vortex as crossup.

The lag spikes in the video are a result of my crappy quad core pc not able to fraps replays steadily. The games were on a yellow bar connection.

I also have a replay of me playing his Seth, but I dunno if you guys want to see a Seth that mashes dp all day. So much for “4500PP”.

Against EX Rush punch, if you’re really sure it’s coming, use a Raida or time a throw.

Ibuki is (-2) after FADC Level 1, against Boxer you actually can’t to do anything to his cr.Jab/Straight without EX Kazegiri. (I think that’s right)

Why is he doing cr.HK after a blocked Jab Straight?.. He must be having a bad day, because he could have hit you with EX Straight on wake-up so many times. I don’t think he knows this match-up at all.

Autopilot Ibukis unite!

What happened to the Critque Thread?

Help tell Redcaliburn what she’s doing wrong, she doesn’t listen anymore:

Match vs. Dictator doesn’t need critiques haha, it’s just a combo video really.

P.S. Windows Phone 7.5 is amazing. I’ve spent 30 hours playing Minesweeper on this thing. Dark Souls is sold out =(.

Wow! Izuna your ibuki is simply amazing!! DAT rushdown, keep posting some videos please!
Regards

If that’s the case, critique yourself (like old times).

Kind of hard to critique match with autopilot characters (fuck yun).

Try picking a solid character specifically to expose bad habits.

From a few sessions back.
RedCaliburn, that match we had before when you played your best apparently, was the same as every match. Your Okizeme is pretty much non-existent, and you always st.Jab after a Kunai, which is why 20 matches in a row I just backdash into EX Kazegiri. When you are fed up with that, you try to OS NB with a j.LK. Finally, it’s very easy to tell what setup you are going for based on your ender. Above all, you never walk forward. You only ever dash or jump to get in, so you are almost always in the corner at the start of the round.

You never use cr.HP as an anti-air, and you never walk forward, so all I have to do is slowly step myself into place to jump in and start a block-string. All of your damage comes from my mistakes, instead, try to get some damage from my not-so-great reactions.

Another thing, I’ve told you this a million times. At the start of every round, you either jump, stay still, or slide. All I have to do is wait a little while.

If you jump… Well, as a shoto I’m buffering the DP way before the match starts.
If you slide… I never start a round with a fireball, there’s no reason to if you sometimes jump, and if I wasn’t only a decent player I would roundhouse you every time. With Ibuki I can start a Kasumi Gake mix-up from the start of the round if you do that too.

I don’t understand why you do f.LK, LK Tsumuji after I block a MK Tsumuji… If you want to poke me afterwards, use st.MK instead.

Most of this stuff isn’t shown in the videos because it was hard to look through all of the replays when you actually managed to get block-stun or a hit in.

Sent from my Windows Phone.

Why are inputs off P1?

He obviously doesn’t want to expose his turbo automash dp.

lol I just noticed it said 26 wins. Holy damn wouldn’t you get bored after like 10 wins in a row or so?

haha I could show you, I thought it would just be distracting. Mingo is spot on.

I don’t have many people to play with though, I get avoided at the Arcades, and some players in my own team don’t even want to play.

cr. hp is a good aa? That has to be my most hated normal
