Ryu gets 6 buffed fireballs that were already pretty good.
Crouch mk hitbox changed. They didnt say how. Could be better. Hopefully it is, but they did say it has more pushback on hit. Pretty sure that makes crouch mk fireball not combo from even more ranges.
He got more damage nerfs.
He lost AA jab (even tho everyone did)
Improved mid screen throw position. Donkey kick for crouching meterless confirms.
Its not that great. Hes better but the biggest buff he got was everyone else lost throw loops and those necalli/karin/cammy confirm from across the screen pressure strings got nerfed.
I dont think thats enough to pull him off bottom tier. Rog and ibuki should be near even. He probably still loses to the remaining S2 top tier tho.

Iām really happy that Capcom is dedicated to keeping Ryu as low-tier as possible because the minute he hits mid or higher online will go back to being 50% vs. Ryu match-ups. Season 2 was a godsend because you could actually go online to practice things other than the Ryu match-up unlike Season 1.
Even with ryu being shit I still run into him way more than he should be picked.
Its the way SF is. People are gonna pick Ryu no matter what

Iām honestly surprised Ryu was borderline Top Tier in Season 1, though I can see why considering how easy it was to just save meter and CA off everything.
Sakura and Sagat gonna end all that shit. Only ryu mains left will be the ones who sleep on a raw mattress on the floor. No frame, box spring or sheets.
