TBH if you have bad reactions, being passive is the worst thing you can do. Passive play works best for players with great reactions.

exactly, and this lead to another great problem of mine, I canāt play aggressively at all (hence the part about pressing the wrong buttons at the wrong times)

Quick question for Akuma players, or just people really plugged into the high levels of play: What goes into deciding whether to go with VT1 or 2?
I noticed when AE first came out that Tokido rocked VT2 exclusively, but now it seems to be more match up dependent. Whatās the philosophy?

A few matches against Gief would force you to pick on offence tactics.

I spent almost a month there before I hit ultra bronze. And another month to get to silver.
You can do it too. 
Hahaā¦ it took me like two years to get to Super Bronze, so hopefully it wonāt take that long to get to Ultra.
Seriously though, thanks again for the replay analysis. I was really struggling to discern why I was so bad for so long, so having that personalized feedback on what specific things to work on has really changed my mindset and help me start to see some improvement. Obrigado!

A big part is just understanding frame advantages and how your moves match up vs. your opponentās moves. If you keep trying to steal turns at -2 or whatever youāre eventually going to pay for it.

I actually looked up that girl a bit. Asian girl with Aussie accent made it worth watching a bit. Apparently she was on Excellent Adventures one time playing with Gootecks and some guy on reddit said she looks like DaFeetLeeās sister.

How we feeling about balance right now?
I think its super lopsided towards like 8 characters. You can look at that as wow 8 characters! But i kinda see it like you gotta pick one of them to have any competitive chance.
That worked in the dark ages, but idk how well itāll go with the modern fgc. I mean weāll play it because itās SF but I dont know how happy the scene will be with sfv S3 long term
When does Top 8 of FR start? Iām wondering if I should stay awake for the disappointment of no Falke reveal afterwards or if I should just check the tapes tomorrow.
Iām not holding my breath for Falke, so just be nice surprise if she shows. Just looking for a good top 8 and Ibuki to win a match in top 8.
All fighting games these days have tier issues and itās compounded by eSports where slightly better is always better. Money on the line people are going to consolidate the tier list further.
Thereās a good roster of characters in the game and thereās at least 8 other characters other than those 8 that could have made top 8 really. Maybe not perform as well, but could have gotten in there for sure. Itās not any worse than whatās been in other games lately and generally a step up from Season 2.
